Actually it's because it hasn't devolved into flaming, name calling and general idiocy.
Threads don't get locked just because they have disparate points of view. We want to see more than one side of an issue because that's what drives conversations and liveliness. What we don't want is flame wars and stuff that makes us look like a bunch of screaming babies, which despite accusations to the contrary, this thread has not reached yet. So far everyone's been fairly mature about their viewpoint and as long as it stays that way there's no need to lock it and the people who get out of control can simply be banned from the thread as necessary.

I'm with sarah and rick on this. Sarah's right in the regard that if players don't change their attitude, if they don't actually show some form of discipline, then the game isn't going to change. Rick is also right in the perspective of, you might as well exploit it, if nexon essentially rewards or enables players who do it. If nexon showed some discipline, players wouldn't feel like they weren't losing out on anything.

Sadly that goes back all the way to HP washing. The games dead unless the community intends to change the social norms, and most likely those won't be changed unless nexon does something that is some form of punishment.

They can however delete every item in the VNUM range of the VPQ that has a GUID higher than the point where they stopped off when the VPQ officially closed.

But the glitch is that the VPQ portal was accidentally removed. It was never "officially" closed, except in the sense that when people complained on the forums, a Nexon representative said "oh yeah, we might open that some time" without having any idea what was going on.

As far as I'm concerned if you can find a way in it's fair game. Remember how Marksman Bryan got rich? Oh yeah, it's cause he stayed in VPQ after Nexon glitched it shut and stockpiled VIP gear. He didn't abuse any glitch to get in; he just never got glitched to be stuck outside it, which is what happened to the majority of players.

I actually asked that question on their Basil Q & A. And I'm with Stereo here, it definitely seemed like they were justifying it as intended after they copy pasted JMS big bang data in. And I'm even pretty sure they didn't care or maybe weren't fully aware people were still VPQing till that question. Cause the next SC after that Q7A, everyone was moved out.

Actually to be honest Sarah's very right in this regard. Rick isn't wrong with what he's saying, maybe a little misguided on the whole exploit view,but none the less this IS an exploit and should be taken care of. Regardless of how "little" damage it'll do comparably it gives those who can do it a beyond unfair advantage. I could get in and do it but I choose not too because I would rather wait for the full re-release. I also don't want to be labeled as a glitch abuser.

Eyurdice has made it clear in many posts that the NEXON dev teams work together. The PQ was obviously not ready for release after BB because from what I read in this and other threads is that the PQ will crash and sometimes not even work. I don't think they were justifying it they just never saw it as a big deal. Once community awareness popped up they took action.

Yet, they did absolutely nothing. They didn't even address it either. Plus the fact that jMS had the Big Bang before gMS and removed the PQ whilst gMS followed suit seems a bit odd.

NEXON can't monitor every part of the game at once. Plus IIRC JMS had the visitors and immediately after had BB. So their pq never stayed. It's not too far fetched to think that JMS and GMS worked together on the BB

What? Where did that even come from..? jMS and gMS working together seems way too far fetched. jMS kept monster book, gMS didn't. jMS keeps making exclusive content, and gMS has none of it.
