Has anyone tested gifting?
#1
The first time I read about the cash shop UI changes, I thought it meant gift tokens were removed and everyone could gift. Having read the thread on it, it seems like you can only gift with cash from nexon cards and gift tokens have been removed. So has anyone tried gifting and seen for themselves which interpretation is correct? Is MTS cash considered part of nexon card cash?

(rhetorical question section) If they permaban anyone who so-much-as argues over $5 over paypal making NX fraud pretty much impossible, why are they still so pissy about paypal/pay by cash nx being used for gifting and the MTS? I'd assume Nexon keeps a higher % of money through paypal transactions than through game cards anyway, so what's going on with them?

Well I haven't got a chance to test it, but theoriticly NX from cards could be used to gift, mts, and nx from paypal would not work there but only in the cash shop.

NX from MTS was available in MTS before and therefore it's from NX cards.

The reason no gifting by paypal is because you could go around banning people by gifting them something, then doing a chargeback, so the account with the gifted item would get banned. Gifting the person who gave the gift would be of little use as you could easily accomplish this with a mule: make a new account, charge, gift all the people you hate a tele rock or something cheep, then do a charge back. Therefore $20 could turn into 40 banned people.

Paypal actually takes a laarge amount of $ from them, I think, whereas the cards are fairly cheap to manufacture...I mean they *are* total crap.

As far as the rest of that, I have noo idea. I mean...the gift tokens *were* a pretty good idea, I accumulated quite a few and never ran out (though I don't gift heavily)...Nexon is a bit weird...

It should work with any card NX (as in the cards, and MTS NX too).

The only thing I don't like about the update is that you can't combine Paypal and Card NX anymore, which essentially forces you to waste some of it (unless you plan carefully).
