Dear Players:

Nexon will be performing a maintenance to implement the new portal on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 10 PM Pacific for approximatelynine hours. During this time, the following will be unavailable:

*Allgame servers
* All game, website and forum login
* Nexon account registration
* All billing functions (including charging and spending NX and redeeming Nexon Game Cards)

Please note that all games will come down andall game Start buttons will become disabled and will display the following message once the maintenance has started:

Were implementing our new portal! Check the websites for updates.

Once the maintenance has been completed, you will be able to access all of these functions as usual.

I'm waiting on the amount of ppl on Basil flaming Nexon about not redeeming NX cards or some reason.

So instead of rolling all of these updates into a full-day (24 hour) or half-day procedure they separate it into two different days? Well, I always appreciate the time to check out the CS so thank you for not keeping me in suspense Nexon! Sarcasm aside, truth be told, I am looking forward to the Lab Coat, just in case someone tries to throw a quote from the other thread back my way. This is rather confusing since the SC tonight is and still says it's only 4 hours but then the site upgrade affects the games to be down while it's being upgraded too? x_x

Oh my bad, well I still find it odd the game gets affected while the site gets an upgrade. I understand people who use the site not being able to get on but still.

I'm curious as to why they can't just do both maintenances at once. Would make it a lot less of a hassle in my opinion. Then again, I'm probably missing the reason here.

Normally, changing the website shouldn't require taking all game servers down. Since they are, and for 12 hours at that, I'm going to assume they are also doing some rearranging of hardware or internal network (not upgrading, if they were doing that they'd be boasting of it in the maintenance notice).

The weekly Maple maintenances include stuff like backing up data, processing server transfers and name changes, and such. These things require the network and electricity to be up and stable. It will probably be impossible to do it while the "portal" update is being done. Doing it right before runs the risk of not finishing on time. Doing it right after is risky because something might not be working right even though the portal upgrade team says they're done.
I'm glad they're doing the maple maintenance a day earlier. That means it will be routine and as risk-free as ever.

Don't see why they couldn't tack it onto tonight's SC, it seems rather unnecessary to have two SCs back to back.
