R.I.P. Ryan Dunn

Mark Wrote:Weren't you ripping on Greg for SPEEDING? Don't know why you're suddenly in sympathy mode. Pretty sure Greg and his buddy were sober as well which is a big difference. I don't know a single person who doesn't speed once in a while.

I was ripping on him because I would be sad to hear he died being any idiot, just as I'm sad that Ryan Dunn died being an idiot. And no, not everyone goes 50+ miles over the speed limit in pedestrian zones. There is absolutely no difference in that and driving drunk -- they both have the same effect on your ability to react in an uncontrolled situation. Anyone who does either of these things is a complete moron. You can't defend Greg and blame Ryan at the same time.

It's sad to see him go, but I don't have sympathy for him at all. In the end, he was directly responsible for ending his life.

Why not? There's a huge difference between driving piss drunk and speeding on a highway while sober. I push 100 on a highway whenever I know for a fact there is no one there for miles. I don't speed in residential areas though.

Sheesh.

Gah, I remember when I was obsessed with Jackass (only watched it for Steve-O, Dunn, and Knoxville) and at an earlier time, CKY. Have all the DVDs and want not so this is pretty devastating that he would do something to endanger his life and others around him. Just hope he had a fulfilling life.

That's a pretty wild accusation.

Ya know, for all the wild shot he has done, a car crash is a sad way to go.

Now I wanna watch the movie he made, Living Will.

I'm with the others here. The guy should not be remembered as a legend. He drove drunk, killed himself, and took an innocent person with him.

He's been in several; Haggard and Minghags were two he starred in, specifically. Haggard is great.

edit: he wasn't alone? Well that sucks. What a moron.

That was the reason I came into this thread actually. I usually tend to stay away from threads about people dying due to drama and such.

On topic: I don't know who this guy is specifically, but I'm not a huge fan of Jackass or most humor used by that show. I also can't really feel sorry for someone that dies while willingly doing something stupid and life threatening (drunk driving in this case).

I don't blame you guys for not feeling sympathy, just like I wouldn't feel sorry if anyone on this site died in real life

That was pretty rude and unnecessary.

Very true. I had (Never watched Jackass or shows like it) no idea who you guys were talking about and didn't really care (that doesn't mean I don't consider it a sad event). The fact that it was drunk driving though just made me wonder why this would be "tragic".

Single vehicle accident, you're not innocent if you get in the passenger seat with someone.
