Question about gifting 4 hour 2x exp

so, if you gift some1 a 4 hour 2x exp, will it be activated the time that you gifted to them or the time that they received the gift?

I've gifted myself a 2x exp card and it expired 4 hours from when I bought it. The only reason I know is because I logged on the other account a few minutes after I bought it. >.>

Ya, I once logged on a quit friend's acc and when going into CS I had received a gift. As soon as it was received the item expired.

I've gifted items before and not used them until later. The time begins when the person enters the cash shop with any char on that account.

And to DarthIsis1 o.o when did that happen? Because I haven't tested this for several patches but last time there was a sale I gifted pet stuff to an account that would use it in a month and I just stayed out of the cash shop for a month and when I got it (about a month after I gifted it) the stuff was good for 90 days. That was probably last Dec when I gifted and last Jan when I recieved it. (For those who think that's risky I tested it first with a hair cupon or something by recieving it a couple hours later and noting the time it expired vrs the time it would have expired if I had recieved it instantly.)

Also when they were testing the 4 hour cards and they had a sale of them during a certian time of day I would gift one to my self (from a different account) and then I would use it later. I believe they would have them on sale from 4pm to 6pm PST - I would get home at 5:30pm, gift myself one, go have dinner etc.. and then fetch it later that night. Usually about half an hour or an hour later. Once I bought one Fri night and used it Sat morning. They all worked fine - for 4 hours each. I can't recall exactly when this was, maybe March or so?

Clearly you have to gift from a different account. If you gift to the same account (if you even can) then you are in the cash shop and you will activate the item imeadiatly.
