Umm, PG-13 has nothing to do with MapleStory. MapleStory is supposed to be children's game so it would be rated G. Plus she didn't say anything about a cuss word but rather the amount of cussing.

Average age of maple players is like 19. They can take a few cusses by that time. Not like the kids under that age hasn't heard it before. Unless we're talking about 8 year olds here, and they probably wouldn't be involved enough to stumble upon this series.

Doesn't matter what the average age is or not, it is supposed to be for children. A bunch of teens and adults watch Yo Gabba Gabba! but you don't see them cussing on that show.

If they don't assimilate modern attitudes of current maplers then it won't be successful and/or seen as childish, thus being a waste of Nexon's money. If the series didn't have the attitude it does now, i wouldn't be as into it, and i'm positive that is the case for a lot of other viewers.

And you're suggesting this does? That the inclusion of words that barely register as curses so many times that i could count on one hand makes it offensive? Nexon hired this guy for a reason; to appeal to the majority of their players, and that's what he's doing.

That wasn't what i was implying, but thanks for assuming. Neither of us can guarantee kids below the "offendable age" (not that they would be offended, more like their parents) have even watched this. I said that IF someone of that age watched this, it wouldn't be something they haven't been subjected to already. Not that it makes it ok. I and many others have heard this language by the age of 13. Kids today are a lot more subjected to crap worse than this by that age now, so this is hardly a shocker to them.

You realize this goes through editing with Nexon right? Obviously they think it's ok to put these out with he language it uses if it's being published the way it is. If it isn't successful because of the language or have gotten complaint calls because of it, they would pull the plug.

That's what your posts said to me, and since that wasn't the case, that's my bad for misunderstanding.

Since you've mentioned that Nexon has a hand in this, too, then my respect for them has dropped.

When I singed up, you were required to be 12 or 13 (don't remember exactly). I heard way worse than what was censored out of the video by that time, and I went to private school until 6th grade. If people don't know how to control themselves, oh well.
Also, people on maple talk like this on a regular basis. Problem?

Well, I didn't expect them to try and act cool by incorporating unnecessary curse words; rather, approving of the curse words in the script.

But when you said they were censored I went ahead and watched it; it's not really a big deal then.

Scroll up and you'll see my reasoning, although even after watching it I feel like I lost a few brain cells.

My point still stands, regardless of whether I watched it or not: Incorporating vulgarity when there's really no reason to in an attempt to act "cool" is beyond stupid.
