Another year off
#1
Right now I am currently on a leave of absence from medical school. Earlier this year my psychologist recommended that I ask to get leave extended for another year. Guess what. About 2 weeks ago I learned that the school accepted my extension proposal. So now I have a boatload of spare time on my hands. As an aside i was kinda hoping they would reject the request, I miss school. So Southperry, other than getting a job (which I am going to do), what would be a good way to use all this spare time?

On a maple story forum, I have got to suggest Maple Story.

However, in terms of real life things to do, you could learn something (languages and instruments are always fun), or you could travel (visit somewhere in the world that you've always wanted to go to, but never had the chance to). Or you could do some reading if you miss school. You could read subject related matter to get a head start for when you start school again, or you can read books you enjoy for leisure (I for one havent read in years, but given the time and opportunity, I'd love to start that again).

You should try dealing with your feelings so that they stop impeding you from furthering your life. Isn't this the second time?

Sorry, that sounds harsher than I meant for it to... but seriously, instead of just taking some time off you should use this time to get to the bottom of what's causing you to need time off and deal with it. Even if it ends up being that stress from school is what's doing it... this might not be the path for you.
