One more thing, always make sure your connections have enough time (check if they are on the same airport too). Normally 2h is recommended (in Brazil), but smaller and/or more organized airports may require less.

As much as the blue sky and fluffy clouds are appealing you will want to have the liberty of going to the bathroom or for a walk whenever you want, as well as being able to get down from the plane before the obvious old lady/fat guy/mother with children that's blocking your passage.
Completely disagree with this logic.
I prefer the window seat so you have something to lean against and sleep the whole time without people constantly passing you by.
If you don't eat or drink anything you shouldn't need the bathroom, and heaven help your sorry ass if you need to use an airline restroom anyway.
During the brief period you "can" get up you're going to be told not to anyway unless it's to use the facilities or allow someone else to, so it's not like you can really get up and stretch, plus you'll have to get up and move every time someone else needs in/out of your row.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

Agree with Eos, plus if you're in the aisle, people will constantly bump into you as they're stumbling down the narrow aisle.
Or just knock you out with their backpacks.

Up over $600 now for delta >_>
If I wait til next Tuesdsy to buy the ticket, it will be exactly 1 week before I have to leave. Would it be better to wait until then to buy it or now?

hmm. definitly go with a window seat, I just came back from South America ( flew KLM , Awesome service btw , great food, mini tv thing with movies, nice leg room (then again I flew economy comfort )
anyway, it's a short flight so go with window seat, that's all I can say. and a connection will delay you by atleast 2 hours.
