If Nexon does that, they don't have to. Though I hope they do because if they leave those books out it means they might possibly leave books out for other classes in other updates. (Jump)

Event mastery books!! You get Slash Storm 20, Tornado Spin 20, Mirror Imaging 30 and Flying Assaulter 20.
How awesome is that? I feel bad for those who spent some money on those mastery books in Cash Shop.
Though, this is only limited and happens on selected days.

As long is it isnt something insane like the first 500 people get free db books trololololololol. Spadows wording is really ambiguous too so i don't know if i could make a DB and level it to 40 and wait or if it'll have to be a new db. Or for that matter which would save more time on the whole. I think i have... nothing from hob despite doing it like 200+ times across all characters.

I think that you made a mistake. Shouldn't your second line be:
((Max Damage) * (2 / 100)) * 1.15 > ((Max Damage)* (3 / 100)) * 1.10 ?
Since this way we can calculate the needed difference in attack.
Then we go forth: (1.15 / 1.10 is 1.05, not 0.05)
1.05*(Max Damage) + 2.30*(4 * STR + DEX)/100 > 3.30*(4 * STR + DEX) /100
1.05*(Max Damage) > (4 * STR + DEX) /100
105*(Max Damage) > (4 * STR + DEX)

Basically, the event for getting the books only runs a few days, then stops, then starts again. You have to make your character during one of these time periods to get the mastery books upon arrival in Maple Island.

Taken from Spadows Blog:

Levelup a char from 1~80 (or 40 to 80, or 50 to 90, etc...) and you get:
Adventurers: Adventurer Rings
Knights of Cygnus: Holy Wing Earring
Resistance: Resistance Lux Ring
Aran: Lilin’s Aura Ring
Evan: Onyx Dragon Glasses
Dual Blade: Blood Mask

They all add:
- 3 to STR/DEX/INT/LUK (allstat)
- 3 weapon and magic attack.

The quest starts at Lv. 40, newly created characters will have to raise their level to 80. For people who are past Lv. 41, they will need to raise their level forty times.

These job items cannot be worn over any other existing job items (Dragon Glasses, Lilin’s Ring etc.) and you can only trade the job item to another character once on your account.

What does he mean with the last line? Can't a DB Mask be worn together with Cygnus Earrings, like a Critical Ring can't be worn together with a Resistance Ring? Hmmm interesting!

Well I guess I only will be making a lvl80 Adventurer + DB then, since you'll also get 4 Cash Shop books for free if you make a new one during the event period!

Good that I read this now, saves me from making a lvl80 Cygnus+Evan+Explorer+DB+Aran together!

To do list:
- Lvlup a firewiz to lvl40 before event starts
- Lvlup a Firewiz to lvl80 when event starts
- Trade Critical Ring to Mechanic
- Delete lvl80 Firewiz
- Lvlup another Firewiz to lvl80
- Trade Critical Ring to Bank
- Delete lvl80 Firewiz
- Make a Dual Blade during event
- Get free skill books on Dual Blade
- Transfer Critical Ring to Dual Blade
- Do Vampire quests on Dual Blade to get Vampire, while training & lvling up

Result:
- Use [Mechanic + Critical Ring] or [Ultimate Dual Blade + Critical Ring + Vampire] to troll everyone else... :+)
- Profit

Earring, uh getting an even ok one from potential is achievable by anyone who is dropping the time into the game to get multiples of these event items.

Plus it looks cool. Who WOULDN'T want a face mask to make you look like a ninja? Especially when you're a fricken shadower and should have access to face masks anyway.

Most of the other items you can get ezpz with potential making them even better. face accessories only come in the DB gach masks and gachable rat/mouse kits.

Rings are important for future secondary characters i suppose?
