Lol you really have no idea what your are talking about do you? It is so far from dying with the revenue Nexon is pulling in that it would be more likely for Bin Laden to resurrect and be killed by the ghost of Mao Zedong (ok far fetched and irrelevant but you get the point) than to have them close. Players aint leaving the game in any greater numbers now than they did 2 years ago.

rollback would be pointless seeing as there arent a massive amount of mesos being entered into the economy. just hellban.

So then here is the moral dilemma. If the only true way to get ahead in this game is to take advantage of said exploits on a mule and then transfer/hide in MTS etc to avoid a banning, is it alright to join in on the exploits?

This was the major item of discussion on my BL this morning. The reality is that no roll back will occur. Nexon will run an emergency server maintenance, remove the massive amounts of scrolls from people and ban those that did more than X number of turn ins at casandra, but TONS of people will make off with massive profit.

This game stopped being enjoyable when a group of people started playing by their own set of rules apart from the rest of the player base. The amount of hacking that has become blatantly public over the past 2 years is astounding. Hackers hid things in the past for fear of exposure, now Nexon is so lazy they don't do crap and everyone doesn't care about bringing the hacking scene out into the open. It was fine for a while, but now the fruits of their labor are starting to seep into the majority. There are people whom still have THOUSANDS of white scrolls after the dupe during the holidays. There was a finite amount of snow flakes that could have dropped, even if the trees were camped 24x7. Anyone can see that the amount of WS that could have been gotten by legit means has been used up AGES ago. How is it possibly fair that a group of people get essentially unlimited funds to do whatever they want with the game? Or get to level alts to high 160s easily without any effort. It clearly doesn't matter because fairness means nothing now.

So then honestly, and this was the end result of the discussion on my BL, why not everyone just take advantage of said exploits? DC hack people, MMC your alts, dupe items, crash channels and hide stuff in MTS, and packet edit your way to heaven. If that is the way the game is moving, and Nexon refuses to crack down on issues as simple as tricking the server into thinking you are submitting a weapon instead of a shoe, then the concept of morality and what is truly right and wrong becomes null. I have never been supportive of hacking, but at this point, this is a loosing battle, and I would rather continue to enjoy the game, then feel like I am playing against people with the /god flag on.

Here's the problem: It's not that hackers are ruining the game, it's that they're running the game. Nexon has hardly the power to stop their outbreaks and their efforts are completely minimalistic in trying to reduce the amount of hackers populating the game.

A bunch of people on my buddy list are doing the exploit as we speak... It makes me so annoyed but what can you do...

actually the problem is that Nexon doesn't seem to care enough to stop them. any company that makes the amount of money they do could easily pinpoint the problem and stop it immediately, but it just doesn't seem like they care.
