Which class?

I'm thinking about creating a character in Khaini so when I get to 50 posts (lol will it ever happen) I can join the Southperry guild. So anyone have any advice on which class to choose in a new world without any support from other chars? I also won't be using MTS for this char.

LUKless cleric is probably the cheapest class out there, but there are already too many of those...

I've seen unfunded characters of all kinds. Usually, however, the more funded ones have higher damage. That's about it.


Go with w/e you want. I can suggest various characters, but you should make the character you want to play.


And, if you're really unsure, that's what private servers are for.

Yeah, as a source of funds at lower levels, I had good luck with a Cleric when I made some characters at the beginning of Mardia. When you run out of mesos (if you do), you can just go someplace where you pick up more potions than you use (Jr Wraiths, for example), and sell everything you get there. Plus if you're social, you can always provide free heals and pick up some free EXP in return.

Truly, though, any class can be done well without prior funding; you just have to plan your training and such so that you come out ahead instead of burning mesos. My first character ever was an I/L, normal LUK. I'm doing fine so far.

You can start any class from scratch. You'll just be a bit weaker than your funded counterparts.

OK, I created a normal LUK cleric. Buddied some of the people in Khaini too, 2 of them have full BL though.

Make a archer. They are fun to play with, though I don't think you can play them unfunded.
