-Locked says that DBs weren't as OP as everyone made them out to be
-You make several poorly-executed arguments that are barely coherent stating and are just simply claims that says the same thing Locked is saying.

-No intellectual conversation actually takes place, because you feel that making claims based off your own preference makes a legit argument, so we end up picking apart your poorly-made arguments.

Well if your events follow, which I'm not sure of since it has been a few days and I refuse to look back, then I'd say Locked is the one that changed positions, since I've said the same thing throughout, dual blades suck in comparison to other classes. This is maplestory, not much intellectual conversation can ever be made, "I observe this" "oh ok... well I decided to waste more time by creating this spreadsheet with numbers and it says... the same thing."

I find it pretty funny you're still hung up trying to define circle jerk. Try wikipedia, I think that definition can apply to you and khaini, haha.

And it's not because his position changed, it's because you just plain out suck at arguing; don't try to draw attention away from this. You make claims without evidence, and fail to recognize that your arguments are all pretty terrible. Just accept this and move on; nothing more you can do.

All the videos you've shown me so far are of Dual Bladers with an INSANE amount of %luk that doesn't represent the "average" group of maplers. Show me a video of an "unfunded" Dual Blader. Good luck trying to get 56k range by the way.

I can't tell if this is serious or sarcastic. But I was serious about what I said. That first video the guy had 11-14k range (the average person with rare potentials), the second video the guy had 16-23k range (a little above average, 61% luk isn't all that common among people). Just my input, unless you have 30k range and 60% boss (30% on dagger and 30% on katara, that is if they stack in gms) dual blades are a fairly weak looking class, certainly other classes are a lot better without funding. 30k range in gms on a dual blade is a good 20bil funding (just a rough guess).

Edit: to add more, in gms the low funded 2handed weapon users have a significant advantage due to the surplus of available 50% scrolls.

I'm talking about your "10b funding or less" comment. Please keep in mind that kMS doesn't have any perfect weapons, or rarely any at all due to lack of white scrolls/pam's song/abundant 50% scrolls so I'm not including that budget into the calculations.
10,000,000,000 mesos, supposing you hunt for all your 3-line equips would make NX bought at 1:15 about 666.67k NX.
666.67k NX /1.2k NX = about 555 cubes.
555 fragments = 55 advanced potential scrolls and 1 potential scroll. At an average price of 20m per Advanced Pot Scroll and 7m for a pot scroll you have about 1.17b mesos from potential scrolls selling.
555 cubes is enough to get at least 40-80% LUK if you're willing to cube items equally and if you get lucky. With the extra 1.2b mesos you receive, you can even buy more cubes to cube at your heart's consent.
My point is, 10b funding is enough to get you somewhere.

30k Range requires 20b funding? I guess I'm far ahead since my Dual Blader has 20k range with limited funding, about 24% luk of tradeable equips from my shadower. Your central idea on your post above just shows that in order to be a "good" Dual Blader you need an atrocious amount of funding, upwards to about "20b or more" and that "10b or less funding" can get you nowhere. Which is completely incorrect, since 10b funding can get you started to be a "good" Dual Blader. Please, do share what your main point is though since we're oblivious.

Nah bro. I think I've said the same thing you have the entire time. You just don't understand it and tried to be smart by shoving a random statistic of 10b funding getting you nowhere, which is completely false. My position hasn't changed through this entire topic, except maybe when I stated that 21% LUK is enough to get you somewhere when we compared ranges. I still think Dual Bladers are weak, and I still think that 10b of funding is enough to get you somewhere. You're just in denial and arguing with made-up statistics to prove your point.

Dunno how much of my cubing experience is luck, but I'm in the 70-80 cubes used range, and my total %str = 44%, plus my weapon's epic (-15% def +3% att). I did buy a couple of my items epic, but they were relatively cheap (3 line epic helm with crap pot = 40m) Mostly I just used adv. pots on my own stuff, then cubed it, then made more adv. pot scrolls, potentialed more of my gear, etc.

With another 500~ cubes I could definitely be closing in on 60-70% unless my luck failed hard. I could also buy a couple of the items I'm still waiting for funding on (belt/pendant, using a MoN + 10 str belt atm)

Better than my range, I'm at ~160 cubes and I'm only at the 45% STR mark. Would be 51%, but I got greedy on my CHTP and got stuck with 6% HP when I ran out of cubes.
I only have 6 items that are "Epic" status, rest are still "Rare", but weapon and shield are unpotted mainly because I don't have any backups to them if I explode.

I kind of multi world merch, the prices aren't that far off, unless you're going from really low pop to really high. Bera windia and scania relatively have the same pop level, scania of course a little higher.

None the less I don't know how you're determining this hiarchy, damage charts contradict that, though it's on a base, not a funding level, but for a class that gets massive weapon attack, all pieces of gear benefiting, and easier to acquire as there is a market of scrolls/drops for said scrolls, I have to say I have to dissagree.

What you use as solid fact/back up is much different than what I use then. Though mine comes from something called experience.

and yes, you're better off making one of the above classes, if you care about damage that is.

Funny story, I know someone who would put NL above all those classes and his argument is indefinately harder to argue than your's.

Dual blade with no buffs vs Any other class with no buffs= Dual blade wins.

A class with 50% of their stat, and a DB with 35% of their stat= Dual Blade comes REALLLLL close

Dual blade with 500% luk, most other classes with 500% of their stat= Dual blade wins.


I believe this is the main argument about DB. A DB will have to put less effort than any other class to become ''godly''. And if you were to get 2 GM's, both with maxed out everything, one being a Db, (Hurricane-type attacks might beat this), the DB will most likely do anything and everything the other GM's class can do.


Not that I care, really. Seeing as how they're remaking all the adventurer classes.

Killing the first tower ani, with 26.5m HP in 4 seconds, would be a hell of a lot less impressive than killing the third, with 42.5m.

It doesn't matter which one it is, either the first tower or the third tower will die in 4 seconds regardless.

We've already seen pap die in 4 seconds and that has a lot less HP than third tower. I'm only asking for perspective's sake, not that either of you actually have the answer anyway or else you would have posted it already.
