I lived with ridiculous numbers of rats and bats and swarms of cockcroaches for over a year. The other years, they were in milder numbers. There could've been 20, but I only remember seeing 4 or so rats running around.
It was not fun when they fought up above my ceiling in the middle of the night.

yeah peanut butter is stellar bait for any trap that requires bait being added.

I wouldn't necessarily recommend using any kind of poison ... on the off chance they don't get trapped, you end up with a super smelly issue around the house, dead rodents rotting in the walls and all...
I'd go with a rat trap actually, you can hear the darn thing snap shut and you can ensure it broke the mouse's neck in one go. The sticky ones are cruel (unless you check it constantly, the mouse will probably just starve to death) and the mouse traps don't hold enough force to actually deliver a clean blow (just leaves the thing in misery for a few hours)....

Do what Throes did and go at it with a broom. I think. I can't really remember exactly but it was something like that.

Get a trap to catch a mouse. They're inexpensive, and you can find them at most retailers. Just put some food on there as bait, preferably a small chunk of cheese. I've done this before, so typing this from experience. When I awoke the next morning, the mouse was caught, and it was a white mouse with light brown spots. Pretty cute looking, too bad it's eyeballs were literally being pushed out of it's eye-sockets because of the pressure from the trap. It was dead, and the trap worked. Profit? Not really. You just killed a mouse and got rid of a rodent problem, and lost money spending it on a trap.

The mouse traps in my place of employment are boxes with a tunnel in them. Inside the tunnel is a button that the mouse steps on. When it does, a spring loaded blade cuts them in half. Get one of those.

Thread title is misleading. Thought this was going to be a cool thread about rhyme and rhythm. Instead Corn just wants to have people tell him to buy mouse traps.
