Finally finished Volcarano, Meinshou, and haxorus. I might make a heidragon, or w/e but I really hate how it's a special attack varient. The strongest attack is a move that lowers your SP.ATT anyway, I don't see the real hype of it. Not too even mention it has 2-3 more weakness' being dark, but doesn't cover the ice/dragon weakness that it has just from being a dragon. It's like celebi, but not as bad.

woops, misread the post on smogon. It should be that it's no longer the same egg after picking it up from the daycare man.

Just discovered you can catch a pokemon without the ball wobbling :f6: When you use the ball, it makes a different sound and the pokemon is caught

Finally ready to face the Elite Four.
54 Reuniclus 54 Chandelure 54 Serperior 54 Carracosta 54 Eelektross Kind of still considering either a Haxorus or Hydreigon for my final Pokemon. Maybe I won't even train a 6th in this game... I also went and caught the Legendaries that I could before the E4, to get them out of the way. Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion and Thundurus. All surprisingly easy to catch. Thundurus was the easiest roamer ever. I think I have just about everything possible done with that I can. Tried to get it all cleared before moving on post-Champion.

To me both haxorus and Hydreigon are both hyped up =/
If i had to choose, i would go with Hydreigon just because it has a lot more balanced stats than paper thin haxorus xD Too bad the move pool for both are pretty shallow, dragon never did have it easy with move sets =/

Haxorus just feels like another Tyranitar. Just less bulky. Hydreigon loses importance only because it can be outsped by other dragons(Salamence, Garchomp, and Latias), but underestimating it's high special attack would be bad.

Competitive wise, there's loads of better dragons.
In game Haxorus and Hydreigon are the best you can get (besides that other red-blue dragon...ewww).

Been playing against some online teams. Volcarona, Conkeldurr, and Scrafty seem to be very dangerous against my current team. People run teams with bulky sets and drain punch. Quite devastating if you can't knock them out fast enough. :/

Haven't played a lot lately but I decided to evolve a bunch of Pokes today. I also received a Happiny, Corphish, and a Zorua today, woo. At 107/145 obtained/seen for the Unova dex, and 219/321 National.

Also ghost pokemon would help a ton against those fighting types (just watch out for Scrafty, since he has dark moves as well i assume, since after all, he is a a dark type pokemon)
It would help with the drain punch issue.

Snailing through while laying other games in my free time. Here's my current team as of now:
I waste too much time grinding even though it yields such little reward now. Charmeleon was traded by a friend who breed me an egg, same with Timburr (mostly because he had one breed with Drain Punch at level 1 in his box that he thought he'd give me as well). I usually have an alternate pokemon traded in as a starter when I go through second playthroughs. Even though my first one ended prematurely, I wanted someone to help make replaying the parts I already did more interesting. |
