Something is way off with serebii's IV calculator, I wouldn't too much faith on it.
My friend tried it, and the calculated 3-5 of each stat off. It's very inaccurate. I forgot which calculator he used after he found out how bad serebii's calculator was. But yea, the subway guy is a perfect thing for me, i only really train pokemon with max IV in the stats I want, so i know I won't need to train another up. The subway man makes it very easy to know which ones I should train.

Ugh, I'm tempted to start RNGing in platinum again. I have so many ground pogeys that would be perfect for a sandstorm team, or just good in general.

He did use his low level pokemon a lot since he would use the calculator just as he hatched them (he would go to battle subway and since it raised all pokemon stats to level 50, he used those) but he also compared his haxorus that is level 100 with metal kids calculator (that was the one I was thinking of xD) Serebii's is always off by a pretty good margin, while metalkids was a lot more accurate. Don't know why though.

Trying to get a good Battle Subway team together to get the Choice items, but I don't know what pokes to use. I've seen a few people use Whimsicott, Conkeldurr, TTar, Garchomp, Reuniclus, Haxorus, Starmie, and Hydreigon. Any suggestions?

Tried out the Subway battles.
ALL MY RAGE and it's only been two tries. Twice the 7th trainer seemed to pull all sorts of hax after steamrolling the first six with just 1st time had a Cottonee that used Trickster to get Cotton Guard up twice, and then proceeded to use Double Team 6 times, with Leech Seed and Giga Drain in between. FCUKING STALLED MY TEAM TO DEATH CAUSE NONE OF MY EMBOAR'S FIRE ATTACKS GOT THROUGH ENOUGH TIMES BEFORE LEECH SEED HEALED COTTONEE BACK UP. 2nd time was a Drillbur WHO HAD QUICK CLAW ACTIVATE TWICE IN A ROW AND OHKOed MY SIMON AND EMBOAR AND PROCEEDED TO RAPE MY ZEBRA WITHOUT QUICK CLAW.

For the battle subway just plainly using "It's Super Effective!" attacks won't work ha ha.
If I ever have to use an IV calculator I would use Metalkid's.

Kinda hard to get battle points when first timers/pre-post game players get wt'fpwned for even starting the Battle Subway. The level of hax felt like something that a person with a 20-50-win streak should face, not a person who just got his first 6 wins. *Oh my god, FINALLY got my 1st 7 wins on the Battle Subway on the 3rd try.

I don't see how the first train so difficult. I always make it to round 15 (at least) before I start getting shited on.
I just use Volcarona, Hydreigon, Golurk, Works like a charm.

Guess I'll just get better Pokemon, since I only just got out of beating Skyla. Speaking of Skyla, when I first saw her sprite, my mind went, "what. This is in a kid's game?". HNNNNG. Ubers Inconsistent.
Inconsistent Thread Of course I'm not sure how well it'll work with the amount of hax the opponent uses. You're better off using other strategies like in this thread. Smogon Battle Subway Thread 105 Battles, Singles Team. 126 Battles, Doubles Team.

Ninjask with focus sash, protect, swords dance, baton pass, and your choice of attacking move is working enough for me so that I can get the EV items.

Told ya guys battle subway was hax
(like on pg 4x lol)Inconsitant wasn't banned because it was too 'powerful' Smogon banned it because it made it so luck had a bigger impact than skill. The main reason it got banned was fear that it would 'increase evasion' (even though its only a 1/7 chance of happening, if you got lucky and gained evasion up 2 stages you could not get hit and keep getting more random boosts the longer the pokemon is alive) I don't really agree with it, but meh. I think the skill itself would get you into more trouble than its worth (decreasing attack and increases special def!...when your oppoent is a physical attacker...yea that aint gonna work out well. Or when you increase special attack and decrease atack on your so called physical sweeper... )I usually experience battle subway rage on the last 2-3 trainers on the third car. They either A) Have hax avoid. wtp is this, im fighting ninja trained pokemon or something! Explain to me how 5 hits missed when all my attacks are 100 acc ![]() B) Have hax luck. Ok, I understand your quick claw might activate. But what are the chances of it activating 3 times in a row with all 3 hits being critcal hits as well on a non-high critical chance skill with less than 80 acc??? (stupid dynamic punch...)I just used that fire ape, haxorus, and conkedurr (mispelled it...) and it did me pretty decent justice when the teams werent cheating But I will admit, there are still times when they lose. (and it was a fair loss, i got unlucky and the opponent got a bit of luck, can't win them all)The trains do seem that they like spamming earthquake a little too much

Have you ever frigging faced an Inconsistant user? I've always lost before the ban against them. I was forced to run stupid stuff such as Haze on at least 2 Pokemon and even then I'd still lose against a good Inconsistent user.
And it sharply increases one skill and just plain decreases another skill. So eventually you'll get all stats at +6 given the time. And hell if you're fast enough and good with your switches you have PLENTY of time to net that 1/7 chance of Evasion. If you're faster than the opponent, you have 9 chances. If you're slower, well, just be smart with your switches.

I tried it once when I first hit the city - failed miserably. After I beat the game, I went back with my team and owned (got through 14 single battles before quitting). Here's my team (around level 50-55 for most of them):
Samurott Krookodile Reuniclus Eelektrik (haven't evolved it yet) Stoutland Chandelure They work fairly well. I'd like to find another pokemon to put in with Krookodile and Reuniclus to take advantage of Bulldoze/Earthquake in a Triple Battle, but meh. |
