I want to replace Throh with an Ice type ASAP. Any suggestions? I was thinking probably the Ice cream cone one for now. Or Cubchoo or Cryogonal.

I'd go for Vanilluxe. Beartic is slow and somewhat fragile, and Cryogonal is just a pain to get, even in Winter (Still only a 5% chance).

Thanks. I don't mind hunting for ages, though. I'll just use Vanilluxe until I can get Cryogonal and see how it goes up until then.

Hoping Darumaka can kick the Emolga's asses before they get too annoying. Krokorok will murder Zebstrika if given the chance. But, seeing as the Emolgas don't get Double Team @ Gym Leader, I may just use Krokorok the entire time seeing as I taught him Rock Tomb.

OhboyOhboy. Turns out my cousin bought black version, though she just started. BLEH.

Also, at what point in the game do you have to be at to use entralink? I thought you could use it at any point in the game.

You select if from the C-Gear menu, and if you're trying to enter someone's world, they have to be in the towns around the entralink, they should be in red or something, and everything else gray.

@Above, teach archen dig = sweep on electric gym.

Emolgas annoy me. Static shouldn't be able to work on Electric types, yet it does D:

Meh, I'll see. Just kicked 4th gym's ass. 1hko on everything with Krokorok Back to work on Dewott and the others so they don't fall behind. Krokorok is now almost level 31.

Anywho, PokeRus get! Was exploring Route 17 as I hadn't gone there (got bored and headed back - didn't bring a pokemon with fly). Anyways, when I healed my pokemon, I wasn't paying attention and then caught something about a bug with the last statement. I checked my party and bam. ^_^ I boxed them all for the time being, going to spread it around in a day or two so I have a box of PokeRus mules.


As I'm relatively new to the virus - are the effects permanent or only while the pokemon has the virus? Bulbapedia says it's permanent, but I just wanted to make sure.

I found 3 of those things looking for a Beartic. Oh god this is going to be painful.

Similar situation here, but harder to achieve. Found a Tynamo on Pokemon #1 of Chargestone Cave on the 1st floor
Caught it and will replace Zebstrika with it.

Just be ready for a challenge with it. I was very happy with replacing my Zebstrika (speed boost was only a little less with Eelektrik) and am glad since 3 other members of my team are very speedy. Until it evolves, use Thunder Wave to gain a speed boost and then finish off mobs with an attack - it'll help with training it (instead of relying on Exp. Share).

Just be ready for a challenge with it. I was very happy with replacing my Zebstrika (speed boost was only a little less with Eelektrik) and am glad since 3 other members of my team are very speedy. Yeah, Tynamo is annoying to train, but he pwned Skyla's Swanna with one Spark/Charge Beam, so I'm happy. Beat Skyla with:

Vanillite - 32 (Hard to train with just Avalanche and Mirror Shot )
Dewott - 35

Lucky Egg + Pokerus + traded pokemon + entree double experience buff = 15k+ experience per audino kill up until level 70ish. Incredible.

But thanks to Thunder Wave, Tynamo is actually a decent contender considering it's similar to Magikarp. Good luck on evolving it - I focused all of my training on Tynamo (unless I was at a disadvantage with him) to evolve it ASAP.

started swapping stuff around on the GTS, picked up a zoroark for a lapras! (i didnt trouble myself with the legendary dogs or celebi since my hg/pt destroyed themselves in fiery hellholes of shoddy pirated emulation -- yes i actually bought black this time f3)
