Yes, the fine print at the bottom of the message is the same when I received emails from Nexon, so it's safe to say that the email is legit.

Isn't there a way to make it so it seems like an email comes from somewhere different than where it's actually coming from? I wouldn't actually trust this email no matter how official it looks since they ask for ID unless I found my ID on the site announcement.

Fine, so they spoof the address it seems to have come from. How does that help a spoofer if he then sends mail to "enquiry@nexon.net"? The spoofer wouldn't be able to get his response just by doing that.

It's a lot more difficult to intercept e-mail than it is to forge the sender's address.

due to the fact that they require you to reply to the correct domain (@nexon.net), its legit. if they just gave you a link to a login form chances would be that its spoofed.

Nah, this is the real thing xD, I won once in the Master Merchant Round 2, replied to the same email as this with the info, and received the T-Shirt, Towel, and a nice handwritten greeting card saying grats on winning these ^^.

its not a "script"
its simply exploiting an obvious and unfixable flaw in smtp and pop3 email servers. when you send a certain address an email, your email server also sends the email address that sends the mail, but it does not require the password. basically, you tell your email server you are someone you arent. its your server, you can do whatever u like with it.

I just know that there's a way to make it

It is legit; I've had a few friends get that e-mail. Although, Nexon states themselves that they'll never ask for your personal information (like account ID), so they're breaking their own rules by e-mailing you asking for it.

The e-mail address, einquiry@nexon.net, which is indeed Nexon's e-mail address (for game questions, atleast) proves that it's legit. Grats on winning. (Even if the e-mail name was faked, where's the harm in giving an ID? Can you use a mule account as the ID?)

I believe that there was a certain exploit a while ago where you can apparently hack someone's account by knowing the login ID and one more thing, which I think is the birthdate. (Can anyone confirm this?)
