Bacon had congregated with Eos and Sarah. Eos was telling a story from his days as Fiel's apprentice while Bacon and Sarah were enjoying the cake. As the story reached its climax the two let out a laugh. Bacon's was a loud guffaw, while Sarah's was more of a shy chuckle. Bacon turned his head at Sarah's laugh and noticed that she had some of the pink cake frosting on the corner of her mouth. He was not about to let any of the cake frosting go to waste (it really was good cake frosting).

"Sarah, you have some frosting on the corner of your mouth," was the only warning that Bacon offered her before he acted. In his defense, he had had a moderate amount of pineapple juice. His already limited ability to control his impulses had been quite stripped down. Bacon leaned forward and whipped the small amount of frosting from the corner of Sarah's mouth then licked it from his finger.

"Bacon! That's rude!" Eos exclaimed as he slapped him upside the head.

"Sorry, sorry," he said in his defense. Both of them had turned away from Sarah. They had forgotten about the subject of what would likely prove to be a loud (and in Bacon's case painful) argument.

Sarah could not believe it. Bacon had actually touched her. In fact, he had touched her mouth. His fingers had brushed her lips enough that she could have given his finger tip a kiss…

"B-Bacon…" Sarah exclaimed as the images of her kissing him danced in her head. This caused Bacon and Eos to turn their attention back to her. They discovered that she had turned a shade of red that would have made a tomato envious. This was a new shade even for the chronically shy girl. She had her fingers to the place where Bacon had cleaned off the frosting. Before she could add any more to the statement her lavender eyes rolled back and she fainted.

"I'm going to take Sarah to get some treatment," Eos said as he lifted the unconscious girl. This was easy with his monstrous, admin enhanced strength (not that anyone was going to point that out to him).

After Eos carried the unconscious Sarah out the door, it was Bacon that broke the silence, "Poor Sarah, I wonder why she faints like that all of the time. Is she anemic?"

Everyone just looked at him dumbfounded. Was it possible that he really did not understand why? There was no way that he could be that oblivious, could there? Solarboy was the first to find his voice and express his thoughts on the subject.

"Man, are you kidding? She has a huge crush on you!" he said holding his arms wide apart to make his appoint.

"Huh?" Bacon said, as he turned to face Solarboy and the rest of his friends, "What are you talking about?"

"He really doesn't get it," Delicae stated in exasperation as the truth was made ever so painfully clear. Shikage and Solarboy could only lower their heads in shame as they wondered how this guy managed to kick their collective asses. Zelkova, who new the new content tester better than any of the others in the room (not a fact he was overly fond of) and was not as surprised as he thought he really should be. This meant that they would have to explain it him.

"You mean…all of this time…I never knew…" Bacon let the words roll out of his mouth as he tried to wrap his mind around this knew information. Never in his wildest dreams did he ever think that the Southperry heiress had a crush on him. "Why didn't anyone tell me about this?"

"We all thought it was pretty obvious. I thought you might be leading her on or were hoping she would go find someone else," MetaSeraphim stated in his deadpan tone. The others nodded their heads in agreement.

"I've got to go see her," Bacon finally exclaimed after a moment. Finally, he had found a woman that liked him for being himself. He could not just let this pass him by. He turned and ran towards the doors shouting, "I'm coming Sarah, I'm coming."

The others all watched as their "glorious leader" went charging off to find his true love… in the wrong direction. They all sat back down. Some started to consume copious amounts of sake to drown the thought that they had to take orders from someone as oblivious as Bacon. Takebacker (because he was not about to let good food go to waste) and Mute (because Khoi and Shikage refused to let him have pineapple juice) decided that cake was the solution to life's little problems.

Finally, it was Zelkova that broke the silence with a single, yet poignant question, "Would someone please explain to me how the HELL did that idiot get picked to be content tester over me?"
