Hello Maplers,

This morning, we lost power in our west coast server center which caused all servers to unexpectedly shut down. This downtime affected our website as well as game and login servers. We apologize for the downtime and our inability to update you quickly about this issue. Right now we are on emergency power at the server center and while all game servers are up we are still experiencing issues with MapleStory. For now we advise players to not log into the game. We may require some maintenance on the database before you are able to log in normally. Please continue to check back here for updates.

Why keep the servers up if they advise us to not login lol. They should just take them back down..

Nexon is on emergency power...I can understand why it took so long for them to get it out there.

For now we advise players to not log into the game.

Probably the best reason for the servers still being up while on emergency power is to ensure that the servers have enough time to be backed up before the emergency power runs out... I guess.

But they're not doing that entirely, so I'd take their advice in not logging on. Who knows when the servers will spaz, making you lose your stuff.

At least not too many people will pass me while I'm on winter break here in North-Finland. Posting on my phone atm.
