Fan accelerator program?
#1
So I here there is one of them, but I don't know a trusted program, or what to do? My stupid computer continued to get cpu error recoveries while playing, so I'm letting it cool off for sunday. But I'm thinking if I can somehow speed up the fan (which I'm pretty sure you can do) that my graphics card will stop overheating A(if that's the problem) and I'll be able to play. So help? D: SOME ANSWER MY DAMN THREAD THIS TIME BTW

This isn't going to be a very helpful post, warning you now.

Perhaps this would be better suited for the Q&A thread section.

I would, but my computer is pomegranate, and I plan to buy a new one soon. I just want this one to last until I do buy a new one, and buy last, I mean not pineapple up when I play dfo. Frown
@above, will do, but I think I'll wait until saturday, since I want to let the thing cool down (again if it even IS the card) for that awesome valentines event. Yea, good events, exclusive to dfo. =P I think I'll google that fan thing too, but if anyone here uses one, or has, please tell me a good program so I don't get even more viruses. Tongue

I recommend you to get an Alienware.
or
Upgrade everything in your CPU, that is, if you know how to.

Sounds like you night to take a can of compressed air to your computer. Have you ever blown out the insides? Dust particles collect inside your computer and can cause things to overheat if there's too much of it.

I don't need an alienware, it's kind of a waste of money. And I said I'm buying a new computer, so I'm not upgrading this one, just maybe fixing the fan problem for now.

depends on which type of notebook you use. (I assume you are talking about notebooks...)

If things get to hot, variable fans (that work on temperature) already run at their max speeds. You can't overvolt fans, since the maximum voltage you can get out of you PSU is 12volt...

You can do 3 things:
- Clean the insides of your pc, removing all dust inbetween the fan/heatsink
- Apply new coolpaste to your cpu / gpu cooler - don't do this if you don't know what you're doing, since most cooling past conducts electricity...
- Buy a new CPU cooler with a high performance fan, con: your pc will get very loud, and the money you spend on the new cooler, you can spend on a new pc...

I don't know how old your pc is, but if it's older then 2 years, I suggest you start saving for new PC parts. And if it's only to play Maple, those shouldn't be a lot more then 200~300 euro, since you can keep some stuff from your old pc...

LOLROFL MAPLESTORY
No, I'm playing dfo. o_o I'm getting a new computer like I said already, so I think I'll try cleaning the fan one time. And at whoever said it, no I'm not using a netbook or laptop.

Well, Maplestory is more high profile then DFO... mostly because of Nexon's bad coding and memory leaks... :+)

At least they fixed the FPS with big bang... Smile
