What does it mean when a teacher says this to you? Maybe it was my fairly new glasses, or maybe my new acne free face, but I really don't know what would have sparked this teacher to say this to me.

Most likely. A few of my teachers have relationships with me outside of school and are friendly with my parents, so I'm used to this, but it's possible they're just being nice.

High school, female teacher, other teachers were around, during some assembly.
I mean, maybe she sensed that I wasn't feeling the best, and was trying to cheer me up. I just get confused by these sort of things.

Your glasses, eh? How new were they. Maybe you lost some weight. Or something. If something is definitely changed that she must have just noticed/had a chance to tell you about (maybe glasses@@@ Idk you would be able to tell better than me), then it's normal.
Otherwise it's abnormal.

Saying you look "good" isn't even close to pushing any limits. Maybe you attend a school where teachers aren't allowed to compliment students on their looks or something, but over here I've had teachers comment on how FRESH I look, specifically my shoes and haircut, not to mention one of them was quite attractive, and all I say is "Gee, thanks!" and do my work. One of my teachers even said my shoes looked UGLY! The nerve!
But it's really a shame, some schools are so concerned about their reputation that they simply do not allow their teachers to discuss anything with their students. Politics? Religion? You look good today? NOPE

I'd wager she was just trying to boost yourself esteem because obviously if you've acne-free then it's nice to know someone notices and thinks you look better.

Yeah, you're probably right. She has got to be the best teacher ever.

It's called a -compliment-.
It's like if you see a little kid and you're like, ''Aw, that kid is cute~''; it's just a compliment, not hitting on the kid.

Not really used to compliments. So when I get them, I kind of make them a big deal I guess.
