Yes, I had a testicular torsion, and the testicle couldn't be saved. It was a pain I don't ever want to endure anymore in my entire life. So I'm mono testicle XD
Zelkova Wrote:Rob, did you have dissolving stitches also?
Dissolving stitches? I don't think so.
Aside from that, when I had to have surgery to fix my skull it was pretty horrible too.

No anesthesia whatsoever (not by choice... I asked for an epidural as soon as I got to the hospital, but the nurse-midwife told me, "No time for that, he's nearly out already. Two pushes and we're done." Two hours, an episiotomy, a vacuum extractor, and a broken tailbone later, he was out).
That's an easy winner right thar. Though I have to say I'm pretty stupid for not having ever guessed you were female, given your guild name.
On-topic: I got too many bangs on my head that I hardly remember any pain in my past. I don't know if that's a good thing.
Maybe not the worst pain per se, but this time I got some serious tingling on my left pinkie (lol, I know) and it kept me up all days and nights. It drove me crazy to the point I, on multiple occasions, wanted to just roll out of bed, go downstairs, get a knife and just chop the motherfuc'ker off for good.

Got a nasty and deep wound on my knee after falling from my bicycle a long time ago (stupid gravel). Almost three inches long, got butterfly stitched like a pork. And thus my needle phobia was born.
And just now in college, I was taking class and my cellphone rang (forgot to mute the bastard).
Ringtone: The Big Medley, Kansas riff from "Carry on, Wayward Son" on a totally silent classroom with 7x students and a professor staring at me.
I felt like digging myself a hole and diving into the earth's scorching iron core.
Also, wrong number.
Still raging about it.

Mine i could save (I was like...9 or 10 at the time)
It...was bad...
I endured the pain for 2 weeks before telling my parents because I thought it was natural or something. Then i had 6 weeks afterwards in pain. I couldnt walk for half a week after surgery.
SUPER BROFIST
Eh, I had to stay in bed for like a month after my surgery, but I played my vidyagaems all the time, so it wasn't that bad. It also happened to me at 10-11, I don't remember now.
Wasn't the pain terrible?

Dude, the first thing I remember after surgery was I had a heart monitor on my finger, and i switched it to the other hand pineapple with the doctors. (I was OUT OF IT. I must have been on some serious drugs)
Then when it was time to leave, I had to have my dad help me put my pants on... yeah.... i couldnt like...move... it sucked beyond belief. BUT I had Pokemon Crystal so all was good =3

Yeah I feel you dawg.
I remember that after surgery, I was coming out of anesthesia and I overheard my mom telling my aunt I had lost my testicle, but I couldn't open my eyes, talk, move or whatever. It was an awful sensation.

When I got my fingers slammed on by a car door and when I got my first splinter (the fact that there was something sticking in my hand at 5 was traumatizing), and when I fractured my ankle by falling on it (I'm pretty sure I blacked out/ don't remember.)

I dislocated my knee when I was a senior in hs...walking up some stairs. Best part was it was at house party so I decided to put it back in place myself.
A few years later I dislocated it again when I slipped on some water in a bar. Both times hurt like a peach despite having a few in me.

Damn I know Rob must be manly if he can get laid with only 1 testicle.
And I must be super unmanly because I can't get laid with 2 testicles .

Appendicitis.
Happened when I was a junior in high school. I probably made it even worse than it had to be, too. I thought it was a wicked stomachache at first, so I WENT TO SLEEP thinking it'd better in the morning. I look back at it now and am so thankful it didn't kill me in my sleep. When I woke up I was in even worse pain than before...so I was like yeah, hospital. Now. And I am so scared of going to hospitals. Resulted in the most painful day of my life, no doubt. Six hours forced to lie on a medical cart waiting and being wheeled around for different tests. Finally were certain what it was and took me to surgery to remove my appendix. Went wonderfully.
Recovery was a bugger. Could hardly move for a week, and it took about a full month before I had complete movement back. All in all, I'm glad it happened, though. Good experience. Only other extremely painful experience happened in kindergarten, when I got my head split open by a metal door handle. Resulted in seven stitches on my forehead. I quite value my forehead scar (still have it, visibly) and the three surgery scars around my belly button. I've never broken any bones. I have many other scars on my arms, legs and elbows from rough play as a kid, but those don't really count.

It's not that big of an issue anyway. I even get to be more active biologically because of having only one testicle. In fact, neither of the girls I've been with has asked or has even questioned or was surprised by the fact I had only one.

Somehow managed to half-separate my leg bone from my pelvis bone. Sure was fun getting to the hospital.

Probably either breaking my wrist at the school playground in third grade, or smashing my pinky under a rock when I was in second grade.

I got my foot stuck in my parents bed when I was a kid. The spring stabbed me and cut into my Achilles tendon (I think). It was stuck in there for a good 45 minutes and I sat there bleeding until my parents got back.

Hmm, obviously not as bad as several of the above, but personally; Kidney Stones. I drink more water now. Having a 1"x1"x4" hole missing from my back for 13 months was pretty bad too, but despite the inconvenience, it wasn't actually all that painful.

Ouch, I must have been lucky since I had my thumb LOCKED in a car door when I was a kid and they had to unlock the front door with the key and then manually unlock the backseats as cars were back then, but I suffered no damage.

Yeah, wisdom removal wasn't fun either. But I'm told that after the procedure I was having spasms like a madman from the laughing gas. I've always had nervous muscles thanks to ADHD, but that must have been awkward. Mother thought I had just come from an institution.
DrRusty Wrote:When they put that tube thingy in your arm (to act as a "vein" that they can draw blood from) THAT fking hurt. The tube is like 10 inches long and the needle they use is like 3 inches long. It felt like getting stung by a bee with a stinger on crack.
Ah, the IV. I've had 3 of those so far I think, and one of the removals sucked like hell. I was standing at first, and I literally fell to my knees in pain when this nurse twisted it while pulling it out.
I vaguely remember one other incident, but not enough to evaluate the pain level (I was under 4). Stomping on a red-ant hill.
Really though, everything I've experienced is nothing compared to what all of those around me must have experienced with cancer. Lost 6 family members and 2 neighbors to it so far.
