Hey so i'm new to SP kind of, but I've been a forum pro for a while, and I always like to see what the escapists are up to other than videogames.

NOTEAlso checked all the forums and this forum seems to be the one that I believe this thread belongs in, I do not wish to have a retarded funhaus thread, and neither a highly intelligent discussion or whatever that other forum is)

NOTE2Please GOD, do not post in this thread to tell people doing drugs that what they are doing is wrong or that they are addicted to drugs, no one cares, taking drugs is a personal choice)

So this thread is a discussion about all things drugs, they don't exactly have to be about only illegal drugs, but i'm sure no one is gonna want to hear about that time you got tylenol from your grandma. Talk about anything from alcohol to heroin I don't really care. Oh and if you are one of those people that worries about future employers somehow getting all the info about you on the internet, just use SWIM (Someone Who I'm Not) to say these things. For example, swim smoked a lot of weed last night... and the last 5 nights before that.

So i'm not that intense a person when it comes to drugs, just good old alcohol and weed, the basic simple stuff that does no real damage in moderate responsible use. On that note, I checked out a thread made here ages ago talking about marijuana legalization, and some people really don't know pomegranate about weed, and if you are one of those people spouting D.A.R.E propaganda about how weed will pineapple up your body, please try to keep your posting in this thread to a minimum. Anyways back to myself, I just mainly smoke weed whenever there is nothing better going on, and I drink a lot on the weekends, but that is the life of a college student (for me), and if you are interested, i'm an IT major planing on also majoring in economics with a 3.5 GPA. I'm thinking of maybe trying a few other drugs, shrooms and maybe LSD, but hallucinogenic drugs i'm a little weary of, because once you pop, you really don't stop, even if you really want to, and with LSD an 8 hour trip from hell doesn't sound to great.

Anyways so like I said, discuss anything drugs, what you do, how you do them, experiences on certain drugs, etc.

Also I wasn't referring to the addictiveness of LSD, since there really is no physical addiction to it, just mental iirc. I just meant that once you are in a trip, there is no way to make it stop. But yeah I do stay away from the addictive stuff, its a huge pain on your wallet, and sometimes your body.

I drink alcohol regularly (a couple of beers per week, maybe more on weekends), weed occasionally (like once a week, sometimes more like on vacations and whatnot) and smoke cigarettes (like 10 a day, yeah I know).

I smoke weed almost dailly and drink almost weekly, I gotta say I love weed a lot, plus it relieves some pain since have crohn's disease...

Wow, relieving Crohn's disease pain with weed? How does that work out for you? Do you get it legally or illegally?

It would be interesting to see research on how medical marijuana relieves pain or treats illnesses.

I was ready to quit, as I didn't need it to feel happy anymore, but a friend called me up one night asking if I wanted a few hits of his shotgun bong, I was thrilled to be getting one last smoke in before I quit for good. Long story short, cops rolled up, caught us smoking in his girls car, we were "arrested", parents informed. That night I found out my parents are cooler than I give them credit for.

Lately I have been wanting to get back into it. I find it increasingly harder to be happy.

It would be interesting to see research on how weed relievs pain or treats illnesses.

I've smoked a couple times to relieve eye stress and headaches. It's pretty good actually.

I find it hard to believe you actually felt happy and not more depressed as your regularity increased. Weed is naturally a depressor of the Central Nervous System and only leads to more depression. The only way I see it working is that in your depression you only felt you could cope with it when high.

I'm clean, and I will hopefully stay clean.

We call that a blunt, and a 2G blunt solo is quite an adventure. and yeah weed is expensiv but w/e.

As a sidenote, it's a slow tuesday, and I dont have class tomorrow till 7:40pm, and we are supposed to get 10 inches of snow tomorrow so maybe no school at all. What i'm trying to say is im around 3 shots into the night, and the end isn't in sight.

I smoked weed once, other times, I don't count it because it was indirect and I was just inhaling in the smoke. The last time I smoked, it was about a couple months ago over at my friend's apartment. It was me and a bunch of the guys, and we were in all in a room, just smoking it up a bit. Passing the bong around in a circle. My first time wasn't that bad, it just felt odd because my throat felt weird, and I coughed a bit. I must say that I prefer drinking alcohol over smoking weed though.

I used to drink weekly, now it's barely that.. When I did drink at my most, I used to go to a really classy bar (classy as in the music was stuff from the early 70's - late 80's, people playing pianos, and expensive beer that actually tasted like heaven) about 5 times a week for a couple months straight. I haven't been doing that at all because I am running low on money, and all of my friends are busy.

Eh, I was going to go ahead and judge you, but to each its own. I've never used weed to overcome depression, so I wouldn't be able to answer properly and with knowledge of the experience.

It's not really expensive here. My friend that I work with occassionally asks me if I want to buy any, $10 for regular stuff and $15 for the better stuff, but like cigarettes or anything else, it adds up and how am I supposed to get a turbo with silly things like marijuana ADDING UP

I wonder sometimes why people take the drugs in the first place. Besides peer pressure, etc. why do them? I myself have never done any at all. Though, if I would, I would go for LSD.
