The thread for figure-collectors
Khoi Wrote:Inb4 that version is like +10 more USD.

I bought the original from a proxy for around $60-70, shipping included. This one will probably be around the same price as the original, but I'll be using a cheaper proxy (though with conversion rates as they are, it'll probably even out...).

Well, GSC's WonFes exclusives have been revealed.

Looks like I'll be trying to get Mato and Snow Miku. The NP set would be nice, but I'm going to have to struggle to get anything as is...

I wasn't convinced at first when I first heard about the new Snow Miku, as all I heard was that it all this version was was just a scarf added to it. But when I looked at this figure and the new features, I was pretty convinced it was worth buying as someone who already has the original.

New faces and the Snowman accesory are really cute, I found the faces to be a lot nicer and somewhat more refreshing than the ones of the original Snow Miku. I also like the ear muffs, mittens, scarf, and the new boots; those were a pretty welcome addition to make it feel different enough to me.

The paint job and "colors" on this one seem a little more of darker blue than the original. It appears to me that the inside and around the end of her hair, it's now a darker blue. Also, the new boots are shiny; and the dress appears to be shinier. The figure also seems a little sleeker, but it may be exaggerated in the photos.

I found this one to be ironically also more "warmer looking" and inviting than the original, in the end. Bottomline is that this one is worth buying, especially with the neat ice tray to try out. Besides that, it's an exclusive. There's no way in hell I'd pass up on this!

Hopefully, it's about the same price of 4000円 when they'll be selling it online too on GoodSmile's website, but I've never ordered an exlcusive or from their website, for that matter. How much pricier would it get, aside from shipping?

Well, the thing is, you can't buy it directly from their website. You'll have to use a proxy- I'm probably going with Yokatta.

I didn't get mine in on time either... :x

I'm going for Tokyo Hunter. It's where I got the original from... Usually his prices are a little bit higher, but I think they're the same as Yokatta's this time (and Yokatta charges an additional fee too, so it may be cheaper...)

Still getting Mato from Yokatta, though. I'll just use SAL for her...

Debating on whether I should buy Snow Miku or not now, didn't expect her to be THAT expensive. I was hoping she'd be slightly more expensive than typical Nendos, but this is just .. wow. :/

I sorta wanted that figure a while back, but didn't want to pay the hefty price for it. Also, nice Marisa. Where did you buy that at? I've seen tons of those on eBay for cheap, but unsure on whether the quality was good or not. `-`

Cheap? Guarenteed bootleg.

Why is the face of your Marisa so shiny though? Was that because of the flash, or because it's not a PVC? I don't think any of my figures shines like that, but.. I forgot when was the last time I even used flash to take pics of my figs. Also, when I said cheap, I meant 40-60 range. I don't even know if that's the correct price for it nowadays. :/

Not PVC. Mine is fake, from Ebay. It was priced at normal and sad it was authentic though, so I filed a complaint and ended up just getting my money back and keeping the figure for free.

One of my few bootlegs, but unintentional.

Edit: By the way, the one I purchased had a black outfit in the product description, which made the process of reporting ebay scam a lot easier. Dunno how lucky I would have been if I got a bootleg that was the same color as the original.

Ohhh, I see. Interesting. Glad ebay gave you back your money though, was there a major hassle about it? As in, did eBay or the seller give you a hard time? How long did this process take until you had received a refund?

Seller canceled their account shortly after the purchase. Everything was pointing to the seller being shady, and they only made it worse for their self by not properly replying and trying to run away from everything. The seller eventually just gave the money back without giving information for me to return it.

My memory is too bad to get a time frame, but pretty much everything was in my favor. The product I got clearly wasn't the product advertised.

Interesting. Though, also not surprised. Was the sender's address anywhere in China or Thailand? Hahaha! Regardless, congrats on gaining a figurine for free, even if it was a fake, it's still something. I would display that anywhere, even without a glass-case, and still be fine with it. If it was an official and actual figurine, F`UCK THAT. Glass casing for life. Maybe I'm just extremely annoyed with dust or something, but I don't feel like dusting unless I am dusting the glass casing. :| I have about.. I wanna say 12+ figurines so far, and I'm only displaying 3 that's outside of their casing as of recent. The rest, I've put away because I don't want to put it on my desk or something, and having it collect dust. Makes me buttrage.

Get an air can. Unless you let the dust pile up in thick layers, you should be able to just do some quick spraying every now and then to clear them all up.

Ooh, good idea. I have a couple in my house right now, actually. Never thought about doing that. Some guy on another forum said to use a hairdryer, but set it to COOL. I thought it was a really strange idea, have yet to try, but too risky.

I do this too if there's ever any thick laters, which doesn't happen much to any figure other than the base for my Tengenn Toppa because that's on top of my bookshelf and I don't like going up there so much (caus I need to tiptoe on the edge of my bed for that).

As a last resort, I use a swifter dust pad. I don't even own the swifter stick, I just hold the pad in my hand and gently wipe down the surface that needs dusting, and it does a nice job at picking up most of the dust with 1 light swipe and the rest (if any) on a second swipe.

Stuff I bought on vacation, minus my Luka and Kaito plushies. I'll save those for another time.

Here's some nice shots I took of Remilia. Enjoy. If you'd like, I could write up a review on her.
