Do you sleep with the light(s) on or off?

Sleeping with a fan blowing in your direction can be harmful in some occasional situations.

I need the TV on. Even if it's on the game channel, when no game is on, that's fine, It's just the buzzing of the t.v that makes me comfortable. :3

Complete darkness and silence, all doors closed, blinds shut.

I'll make a brilliant locked-door murder.

Sleeping with lights on makes people more prone to depression.

I don't really care either way. But if I had to choose, I would go with darkness. One thing I cannot stand is sleeping in a bad position. I have to get my limbs in the right place or I can not sleep.

I wish I could attain darkness here, but more often than not, my computer is in use as I sleep; and me being a custom noob, I can't find any way to get the power light disabled without the power button doing the same. Additionally the little red lights from turned off consoles and the lights on my tower fan. The one that enables oscilation was a bright blue one and I went so far as to covering it with electric tape. Oh, and the modem and router.

If something is off, why can't the blasted thing have no light coming from it. Why do TVs these days have those bright blue circles on the huge power buttons on whenever the TV is off, bothers me whenever I have to walk to the kitchen for water. And yeah, walking in darkness is perfectly fine in your own home, you should know where stuff is anyway.

Granted, when the moonlight finds it's way in I actually like it, and sometimes step outside to observe the nightscape (not that we can see much from our yard).

It's a wonder why my doctor prescribed me sunlight several months back for the lack of certain vitamins and abnormal internal clock.

How're you supposed to sleep with a light on?...

I sleep in absolutely anything. Any surface, any level of sound, any amount of light, etc. Doesn't matter. If I'm tired, I will fall asleep.

That said, if I actually choose to go to sleep of my own free will, I turn the lights off first. Naturally.

I sleep whenever I have to, usually Sundays. However, I do prefer to sleep with the lights off.

THIS.

Although I can sleep anywhere at any time, i prefer darkness. I am an INCREDIBLY light sleeper and will wake up to a housemate's alarm clock and/or the rising sun. That said, i prefer the door closed, but with a roommate, the room would get stale and stuffy (which, IMO is worse than having light in your room while sleeping), so i leave the door open. Over the school year, i can sleep with a small amount of light and a small amount of noise, but when i get home, complete and utter darkness.

I prefer sleeping in twilight, dusk and dawn.
I don't use artificial light very much but I am not bothered by either darkness nor light. Nor sound or there absence thereof for that matter.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

Lights off, but I might have the TV turned to one of the satellite radio channels or one of the Discovery channels (To bore me to sleep, usually doesn't work because what's on is usually interesting '>>)
