Any other people getting hacked?

Over the past few weeks a lot of bellocan people have been getting hacked. It all deals with the hackers hacking the email and then getting the rest of the info from that. One of my email accounts finally got hacked today but the hacker was unable to steal anything and I changed the password already + taking necessary measures on all my other accounts.

Thing is, I've only heard this happening to players in bellocan. Has anyone in other servers heard of people getting hacked like this? As I said, they all deal with hacking the email, sending the ID to the email, and then hacking the account from there.

For the skeptics, the account of mine that got sent an email was

A. An account I haven't played in months
B. I've kept to myself over the past few weeks and not interacted with anyone

my friend got hacked(in scania) and yes her email was hacked as well.

This happened to someone my friend knows in Bera. =/

Yup. About a month ago, many guildies and friends got hacked on the same day. Since then, more people have been getting hacked than what I consider "normal".

Also, I got hacked a little after someone had smega'd "ECK0 IS BACK!!!" a few times. Although I got hacked in Bera, so I doubt that it is actually him.

i can confirm he is still around however. as far as being active in hacking people as individuals, i doubt it.

He has been hacking people. He posted a video... if you look up Jshook on YouTube you can watch it. The ending is quite pathetic...

Yes, one of my friends recently got hacked and email was hacked into again. What my friend observed was that before the hacking there was a buddy request or something that led to it, or so that this buddy thinks anyway.

Nothing of the sort had happened to me before I got hacked. I'm not sure what to do now though...Although even if I got hacked again, hackers have nothing worth taking.

Anything we can do to try preventing this? Changing e-mail passes and stuff...?

I don't believe in "hacking" at all.
No hacks are needed when people use weak passwords and share their info with others.

I haven't been hacked for the 5 years that I've been playing until now.
And you'd think that the GM that ECK0 hacked wouldn't share their info.
Also, the list of passwords of all the accounts that he hacked had shown that even people with strong passwords got hacked.

The friends i've talked to had all hotmail, yahoo, and gmail. Granted, more of them were hotmail.

You want to know the scary thing? The email was my college email, with its personal university email domain. Yeah. The only reason I found out is it autoforwards to my main account.
