v.95 Birth of the Mechanic Notes

And seriously, how do people forget their Birthdays?

A long time ago, when people found the game of Maple, and people were not-so-computer-smart 10 year olds, you needed a birthday that was 13 years or older to play maplestory. At that time, kiddies were like "lol birthday? You know what people could do with that information on the internet?"

Thus was born the random birthday that no one person remembered to write down and it was lost in the information mass of the interwebz. I was one of those people. Sadly that account is gone because Nexon decided to CHANGE MY FRICKEN PASSWORD FOR "INACTIVITY". Thus was lost my maple weapons mule, my ore mule, and my old equipment before potential mule.

There is a Vanleon 1H sword. It requires 100 dex but it's not like thats hard to get. And wtp with that comment about all 2h sword sux if they arent fast(5)? All 2h sword except Stonetooth and NRW are normal (6), even Vip swords.

Since Nexon is already working on it, I'm gonna laugh so hard when they somehow make secondary stats totally necessary. I see it coming soon Biggrin

what exactly is the incentive for a company to punish its customers? isnt there a name for that? ..."bad business"?

Quote:- Mardi Gras [03.02 – 03.15]
Collect Bead Necklaces from monster drops and turn them in to Gaga for a feather, then turn feathers in to Gaga to receive a Mardi Gras mask. The quests are repeatable once per hour. Long time Maplers will be pleased to know that the masks are permanent this year!

I couldn't help but notice that the patch notes no longer say anything about these masks being permanent... Monocle

Jap Map, and Lionheart say hi. The wimpy, but awesome looking, Beheader and Berzerker say hi to.
And because of the pitifully low 2h multiplier, 2h normal speed and lower swords simply suck.

And the problem with Vanleon and beyond equipment is that they require dex for every piece of equipment, and to get the full set bonus you will need to forfeit important things like your Zhelm. That will make it a lot harder to wear the equipment.

And thank you for the update little dancing hedgehog.

And it is beneficial for a business to scam and defraud customers if they often mostly focus on new customers and when you have a diehard fanbase.

I see it too.

As for speed of 2H weapons... we have skills that now hit multiple times. Speed really doesn't even count that much, and even then if you don't have stats for a Stonetooth most people stick to a well scrolled Devil's Sunrise until they can get a Nibelheim, Last Visitor, or VIP. I have yet to see anyone really use a Beheader as a primary weapon as slow as it is.

The difference of one level of speed could be a 9% DPM increase. It's no less than ignorant to say the difference in speed doesnt count.

...I'd say that you have a good eye there, but this is not good news I know a lot of people don't want to be hearing. xd

From the extraction, it doesn't look like masks were changed, so that sucks.

Same, so it looks like another month of being inactive and only coming online for an occational Pap or Zrun.
Its been this way since the filler patches after the Visitor event ended.

Same, except I very rarely zrun, because it's no fun without auto-pot. And since it looks like this patch won't be fixing cash shop, either...

I get the feeling that they like to just pretend they are working on issues (they keep saying they are working on it, but never show or announce progress), but in reality they are just busy drinking koolaid or something.

I also find it to be rather pathetic that they fix the unurgent issue of Episode 1 quests for resistance while not even announcing a fix for the rings.

No indicated fixes on what I wanted fixed + what appears to be approximately 2 months of filler (unless they forgot when Mardi Gras is) means that my character might go into winter hibernation for a bit.

Seems as if they closed the "compensation for E.Weapons" thread on their website so buying the E.Staff 7 I saw won't do my L/I any harm now, but I'd much rather have a copypasta from JMS and retain my poorly scrolled E.Wand 8, I don't like things I can't afford dangled in front of me. Also, who knows when they might reinstate anything and then we (Bishops and non-elementally aligned AMs) would be raging all over again.

So recapping:
1. No CS Error 38 fix
2. No compensation for E.Weapons
3. No fixes for Resistance rings (hoping for a sending through our new Deliveryman Trump but doubt it)
4. No Yay! Free easyish to get permanent masks
5. No VPQ (Like Jaime said, I left pre-VPQ and returned post-VPQ and was only after the belt, shield, rings and earrings)
6. No MTS for Galicia

Thats probably a good list, but I'll bet we could make it longer with other issues nexon neglects. They are ignoring the issues players actually care about and are going on to fix unimportant issues (ep1 hats for resistance).

Episode 1 hats... really... Resistance are so overpowered already they don't need these hats to 1-hit everything the accuracy formula lets them hit at all.
Plus, all classes now take at most a few days to get to 50 and a zhelm, so those hats are unnecessary for all but a few.

However, that's still more important than some other things they not only bothered to fix but actually took the time to list in the patch notes: Lisa's Medicine quest, something in CBD which I don't even understand the description of (but of course not the d/cing in Hibiscus Road if you don't have high graphics quality on), and the translation of the PQ reward box dialog... Seems like they are only fixing things that take 1 minute or less to fix, and then using those to fill up the "patch notes" annoucement to make it look like they are doing a lot.

And the mardi-gras masks... :f6:... why was that line about them being permanent even in there? Could it be that the person writing the patch notes is taking a dig at his superiors? Or just trolling us?

All in all... fail.

I WANT WINDOWS 7 COMPATIBILITY FIX.

According to my not-recording Fraps I get an average of 5 - 30FPS. Near 60 on small, not graphic intensive maps.

uh, im running win7 64bits, i can do double zak run, GB, cwkpq, papu w/o restarting the client or comp, and my maple run at 60fps all the time(what fraps tell me) :f6:

hope they fix the CS glitch D; and fix the "have to cc 3 times to actually change channel" Tongue
