It wasn't bad at all until the end. Also, I think I find myself liking Dokkyun Heart over it. Dokkyun Heart wasn't that great, but it was pretty darn catchy. This song was just really horrible.

Also, Axanael in T-minus 1 days. Enjoy this Axanael wallpaper/calendar while you're at it.

Found a really cheap copy of Fate/stay Night on Mandarake...

But hesitated and when I ordered it a few days after finding it, it turns out it was sold out. ;_;

EDIT: Decided to put Kanon aside; been lazily playing through Umineko. Holding my mouse, using my leg as a surface if I have to, and having a controller on my lap as well so I can switch to windowed if needed, as I don't have a macro button on the mouse... Life is good.

I'm encouraging everyone to try out 999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors.

It's from the same writer of Ever17, has a really nice story, and the puzzles are fun as well. Plus, you get a chance to support official VN localizations, and it's not even expensive. I finished 1 ending and I'm in the middle of my second run.

Non-spoiler plot summary is that there's 9 people that wake up in a sinking boat, and they all have to try to find a way out within 9 hours. The person that put them in the boat put lots of puzzles and locked doors for them. Everyone has a bracelet with a certain number, and doors require them to use those bracelets to open them, meaning they have to split up into groups. They have to try to find door that leads to the exit.

As far as I can go into the story without spoiling.

If you don't have a DS, I do believe roms are legal if you own a physical copy. Just sayin, don't quote me on that.

I'm really interested in it, but I still can't get M games, so... :x

(Well, physical M games, at least. What my parents don't know I buy on Steam won't hurt them...)

Gonna be trying G-senjou no Maou some time later this weekend, I've heard mixed things about it.

EDIT: Pretty hilarious, story flows very well, and I love the music.

 Spoiler

OMG. The more I read, the more I get into the story. I'm not sure who "Maou" is, but I'm really wondering about Haru's objective is, and why the f`uck the b`itch is so cunning and smart. She's literally some sort of detective or investigating-prodigy, and knows sh`it ahead of time. But the protagonist is pretty sly as well, so they sorta rival each other. This is getting more interesting by the minute!

I f`ucking hate Usami Haru's personality, but her voice is so HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG-.

>Protagonist is the son of a legendary gangster
>Maou is some serious business guy that has powers in the grasp of his hand
>Mysterious chick is the rival of Kyousuke (protagonist)

GETS MORE INTERESTING BY THE MINUTE. It's like mixing some Slice of Life sh`it with a bunch of gangsters and killings, makes sense.

Aksysgames has 999 in stock, for anyone that's looking for it and can't find it. It also comes with a free watch!

Enjoyed that very much, haha. Are you going to be reading this any time soon, btw? It's really not a bad read, except Haru's such a f`ucking b`itch. But I like b`itches, so this works out very well. Not going to lie, her voice makes my c`ock hard. Voice is really familiar, it's on the tip of my tongue... WHY CAN'T I FIGURE IT OUT

Yes, I just finished 999 today, so time to load something else from my backlog up.

Cool.

It'd be nice to have another person reading it, though I'm almost positive that my own opinion will differ from your's greatly (hell, even our tastes in animu = diff). Lemme know what you think of it as you progress throughout the story.

This game has a similar branching pattern to Kanon, if anybody's read that. Not too sure about Clannad or whatever else though . . .

Basically, it goes from one chick to the next, but the progression ties in the with the story very well, unlike Kanon. All of the other chicks contributes a lot to the story, and right now, I'm typing this out based on experience from reading. I'm currently in the middle of Chapter 2. Really.. REALLY.. enjoying this Visual Novel because of the mysteries and suspense. I just never know what is going to happen in the next scene, etc etc etc. Trying to get all of the chick's side-story too, even if I heard it's all sh`it unless you get to Haru's ending (which is at Chapter 5..).

Probably one of my last posts here on SP before I take a hiatus, since I'll be busier with life. So I hope somebody else reads this VN.

Turn the case counter clockwise and say it's not M, it's rated E.

Nearing the end of Chapter 2 in G-Senjou no Maou. God, this VN is obnoxiously long and has so much details and dialogue, it's sickening. But I love it! Unlike the stereotypical protagonists, this one seems to be a character that acts hard-ass and attempts to reason with himself that he only does certain things if he wants something, or if he has a use for people. He treats a lot of other characters like livestock, but truthfully, he's very caring deep down inside. When he pulled out that 5,000 Yen for Tsubaki, I was very surprised, considering that he stated that he hated spending money because his objective is to save up to repay Gonzou. It's quite a hefty amount too, think he said it was in the millions? I forgot, but holy crap. So much suspense and mind-f`uck in this VN too, you think you know something, and then the next part comes and you find you're wrong and got b`itch-slapped for it by the VN.

9/10 so far. Only because there's SO MUCH GODDAMN dialogue, but I love the story so far.

Oh, also.

Kanon: I think she's a bit annoying, honestly.
Haru: I think she's not really generic, but how she comes off as dumb or stupid, then just becomes a genius when the situation arises is a bit too convenient. She's okay.
Tsubaki: HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG-

It's not that long, but probably the longest you've read so far. Kanon and Tsubaki are both annoying to me, mostly because Tsubaki seems to be trying too hard to fit the role on "innocent girl with a crush".

You ever finish Symphonic Rain, or dropped it before finishing any route? What route were you up to if so?

Only halfway through chapter 1, and while some scenes are funny, it doesn't particularly stand out for me. Then again, lots of VNs I like don't stand out in the beginning but come out strong near the end.

I'm on hiatus with Symphonic Rain. I think I only got up to an hour into it, it was an enjoyable read, I just got bored because of the piano mini-games. I'm going to be re-picking it up again shortly whenever I finish this. ><;

I thought Kanon was annoying, not because she fits in with the Genki Girl stereotype, but because she seems to contribute almost nothing in the story. She seems like one of those filler girls you don't really care about. I think Tsubaki isn't that bad, though she's really generic at times because of how she acts. You can literally predict what she's going to say next, but I can't help but to think that she's pretty cute. I really like her voice-actress too, personally. Fits rather well with the character.

What did you think of Haru? I'm curious.

You can auto-play them if you don't like them. They're optional.

But take things at whatever pace you like, I was just checking for a status update.

And Haru, not much about her so far. I was initially going to do Kanon path first to get her out of the way, but I kinda wanna see where Haru takes the story. I don't see her as coming off as stupid, she's just an deadpan who has her head up in the clouds too much. She's disinterested, so doesn't pay attention to things, but when she does pay attention to things, it shows.

Currently entering Tsubaki's chapter, I liked how she changed a bit, even if it wasn't much. >_>; Great. Now I have to forcibly go through with Kanon's chapter, this is gonna be so boring.. But so far, my feelinz on this VN:

Major update: Finished Tsubaki Chapter, oh wow. I almost shed tears reading everything near the end, he did so much. I didn't imagine that the ending would be anything like that, it was a d'aaaaaaw-worthy ending. She didn't really change, but rather, he did.

Translation for Quartett! is finished (I actually thought the project died long ago, but was surprised when seeing what I thought was a troll thread saying it's out).

 Translator faqs

Has really nice music, and calming artwork. Probably going to put my current novels on hold for a bit to dig into this one.

Edit: Forgot the translation site:
http://charlotte.is.moelicious.be/

I honestly didn't think this translation would ever get done. The comic styled text must have been a nightmare to work with, making sure the translations fit in voice bubbles, having to edit bubbles and possibly timing, etc. It's no wonder this thing took so long. It's been like 2 years since anyone has heard anything from the translation team.

I do find it unique though. If it makes sense (it doesn't) it's like a visual graphic novel, with panels and text bubbles and stuff.

So I kinda just won a free copy of Demonbane.

Any idea how much, err, H content is in it? I figure it can't be too much, since it got a PS2 port.

Do ps2 ports usually even have any h-content at all in them? I was under the impression only PC ports did. Could be way off though.

Also Spidey, the art style for quarttet looks awesome, I'm going to give it a shot.
