Um, so I'm assuming they didn't change the mechanics of hitting for pvp(when you use a skill, if a mob is in logical distance and all that it WILL hit). So for example, if a nightlord would throw an avenger at a player, however the player went on one of those boosters and ended up on the other side of the map, the stars would still hit him/her? If that's the case then there really would be little skill involved in PVP because you don't have to worry about your attacks being dodged, I myself think that if I jump over a lucky 7, the stars shouldn't hit me, I don't think I should have to jump BEFORE the skill is cast.
But these are a lot more motivating than Spadow's Evan video, maybe they'll change it in time.

Based on those videos, yes, if the player was in range when the avenger was thrown, it will hit even if the player is on the other side of the map. Is that intended, or just it's lag? Hard to telll

As soon as you attack, it checks to see if the monster was in range of the attack. If so, it counts as a hit. The player was in range when the attack was triggered, but not for the animation. Ultimates are a good example of this. As long as the player was in the 400% range of the Ultimate when it was casted, they will get hit by it regardless of where they were during the other 2-3 seconds of the skill.

I have a feeling this will be pretty bad for anyone living a fair way from the servers, as with any PvP game i guess.
Seems like you get quite a bit of exp per hit as well, not too shabby.

Takebacker Wrote:10% in a 10 minute fight? Lol. That's because of the KOs. Add that + 39k EXP at the end = pretty decent EXP.

Mages (Archmages/Bishops) seem to be among low tier in PvP due to the range of big bang (main pvp skill?).
They lack the range of classes such as mechs/nls. Mechanic with lasers: Shark wave spamming:

That's exactly what I was trying to say, this is why I think PVP should have had a lot more effort into it to avoid this flaw, I personally think that if I dodge a lucky seven, or(if I was a NL) flash jump away from X attack, I should be able to avoid it without being hit. I believe they have done this before, for example, the old final attack didn't force a hit before the skill animation was finished. Well, I am just complaining to be honest, so far I haven't tried it and I'm sure I'll end up really enjoying it anyway, but I feel that I should be able to express that I feel this flaw should have been avoided. EDIT: Also, PVP GIVES FREAKING EXP?!? :LAKDSF:LAskdl;k:HLkFLG:lhk:FLgkhD:FLKH:SLKDGL:K I LOVE IT

The flaw can't be avoided because that's how the game was made. To fix the error they would have had to recode a LOT more than they needed to. They would have to change the condition for checking if a monster/character is in range to the instant the hit actually comes out which would EXTREMELY f'uck over anyone who has skills with long cast times. PvP is fine with the way attacks have always worked.

Lets say i have 5 Mules.
go with them in PQ and kill them all time. is that super fast exp??

lawl possible.
But it's not practical, since other people can get into a match that has already started. |
