Isn't there some way to make it so that if someone posts a Nexon announcement (if you decide to make it do that) or a patch thing, with the exact title, that the notification system won't make a thread?
It's not a problem at all though.

Another idea - read the GET headers from the patch file and get the patch file size. I'm sure that would be useful to members here.

It already has it, with the last-modified date, it just doesn't display that info at the moment.

Nexon posted a patch for GMS version 93 upgrade to version 94.
