This looks cool. (the notification thing) Does it make a thread the instant it detects a new patch?
As far as the actual patch goes i'm a little disappointed that they felt they were done with it a week before the date of the upgrade.

Notify is somewhat like a bot? Interesting. So there's no need for random SPers to make threads here anymore whenever new stuff comes out.

Yep. Checks every 10 minutes. May expand to every 5 if anyone thinks the timing is that important. Only does KMS and GMS at the moment, will add in MSEA if it's wanted and consider the other versions as well. It's pretty extensible.

I think i would only want it to do SEA if paul extracted it too. He doesn't do SEA most of the time unless it's something cool.
I don't think we should have the bot do announcements though. It would replace the double threads thing but at the same time it would be slower at getting news than forumers since it checks every X minutes rather than a group of people checking the site. Faster posting times if you just let the members post them, ya kno?

What if nexon posts something huge like a tespia announcement or something about exclusive content right after one of it's checks? We'd have to wait 10 minutes, when in that time the news would have flooded all the major forums anyway.

Also users are already auto-regulated in their speed of checking. Whenever there is something big in sight people start checking the nexon site more often and we have the notice here quite fast.

Uh, 0.94 is the version we have now. This notification was just a test of the Notify system, it posted about the newest patch file it found - which is a few weeks old. The patch next week is to be 0.95, and is not likely to be uploaded more than a day before (even if they do feel they are done with it).

Patches are 10 minutes. Doesn't mean anything else can't run on it's own schedule.
Patches are 10 minutes because they're not very likely to be multiple patches any time soon and they're a once a day thing at most even in the craziest of times, so no reason to keep checking it constantly.

Even if it were 10 minutes, it's not like it's 10 hours. It's not a race for the most part. I've seen stuff posted in SW that takes hours to get here for example just because no one cared enough to post it.

Wondered why someone was posting in a old thread and I get this, colour me surprised.
Only problem I foresee is when They edit a patch people who got the patch early get problems (backup before patching!). But not exactly much you can do about that except edit. I would suggest adding a link to a version's patch/download page.
