Happy 2011! Welcome to the first edition of the Maple Times in this new year! How did you spend your holidays? If you're like us, you were astride the back of a mighty jaguar or learning to use your new magical powers as a member of the Resistance! If so, you're going to love the new AcornStory that helps newcomers learn how to become a mighty Wild Hunter. You're also going to love the latest hero to join their ranks -- the Mechanic!

We'll also be celebrating the old Maple World with our "Maple World Remembered" event winners. There are some great events still going on and a few more days to pick up your Revolution Staff and Crossbow. Finally, we're wishing a very happy birthday to Maple Radio. Birth of the Mechanics!


The Mechanics are ordinary citizens of Edelstein who will answer the call to greatness. Lacking the talent for magic of Battle Mages or the skill with jaguars and the crossbow that mark the Wild Hunters, the Mechanics must draw on their ingenuity to bolster the ranks of the Resistance. They will use their gifts with technology to create an army of robots. They will join the Wild Hunters and the Battle Mages and free their home from the forces of darkness!

AcornStory -- Playing a Wild Hunter


The Big Bang has come! The evil Black Mage has returned and in a single moment all of MapleWorld has changed. That’s the bad news. The good news is that the Big Bang brings with it exciting new ways to play the game including three new “Resistance” classes. In this edition of MapleStory, we’ll be focusing in on “The Wild Hunter,” an exciting class that gives you the chance to ride a powerful jaguar into battle against the forces of evil!

Happy 2011! Welcome to the first edition of the Maple Times in this new year! How did you spend your holidays? If you're like us, you were astride the back of a mighty jaguar or learning to use your new magical powers as a member of the Resistance! You worked hard for 3 days, ks'ing each other at still-broken Scarecrows, to get to level 70, only to discover the Black Wings seem to have absconded with the Resistance Ring you were promised. Undaunted, you went on to KS everything and everyone at Jesters and then Mysterious Path 3, easily attaining level 120 in a week - and then hitting the brick wall of No Decent Training Spots for 4th Job. Good thing we're releasing Mechanics soon, that should give you something to do for another week.

The Black Wings run wild and the Black Mage is back! Maple World needs everyone to arm themselves to help the Resistance. Even Gachapon is getting into the act with two new special weapons to fulfill your revolutionary needs! The Special Revolution Staff and Crossbow are available from December 20, 2010, through January 18, 2011, only! Gachapon is especially Resistant to the increasing number of players unable to enter cash shop, due to the dread Error 38. Don't let that stop you! Buy some NX today and gach on mules. Don't mules deserve some nice untradeable chairs and weapons?
