But yeah, I might expand it one day, but for now, this is decent enough, I have infinite water in my birdcraft too, not worried about that, like evar. This method gets me Obsidians constantly.

Lots of it. There was a water spring near a lava...ocean? Every single tile was a lava spring.

How did you manage to make an Obsidian generator? Lava never creates new sources the last time I checked, so this sounds interesting.

I was watching a video on Youtube on how to farm Obsidian, forgot which one it was, you'd have to look it up, but the method I'm using is basically the same, but with a "door" to lcok the water in the room (and for easy room access). At the very bottom of my mine, I've mined so much that I actually know where all of the lava sources are. I even have signs indicating which tunnel leads to which lava point, there's so much lava below my mine that I'm almost certain that I won't run out for a very long time.

In regards to water, I used the "infinite water" trick right in my own base, so I have about "4" blocks used for water, and water will always keep re-generating. I have about 18 buckets. I would often use a HopStop pad to teleport down to the very bottom of my mine, use my buckets, and just get as much lava as I can, bring it up to the surface (tele'ing via HopStop), and then back to my base.

There, per bucket = per slot. So each bucket would fill up a "block" worth of lava. I then would get one empty bucket, fill it with water, go to the "top" of the generator room, and then pour water downwards from a certain anger (corner), and then the water would slam down and hit the lava, thus creating Obsidian 100% of the time. I will never ever get Cobblestones because each of the gaps there are filled with lava correctly, and there's not enough air for it to turn into.. Cobblestone. /logic

Good thing about water is that it's re-usable. So I would refill up the water that I just used with my bucket, and then pour it at the other corner. Then I now have about 8 blocks of Obsidian.

Rinse&Repeat method.

I don't like going to the bottom of mines and just throwing water all over lava. It's stupid, risky, and just risks me losing all of my valuables.

Got myself 5x64 obsidian blocks (Making multiply portals for fast traveling) And it took me AAAAAAAAGES to mine seriously it was horrible >_<

Tried to play the free version first, but it seems it doesn't work on chrome AND explorer, even with the most up-to-date java.

I think that IS the issue. I used to be able to play creative on chrome fine. When I updated to the latest java, for a while it didn't work, now it just crashes every couple minutes. I really hope they get Paint/Dye in Beta soon. I miss colors D:

The bird is coming along nicely, I just need more glass, but I'm too lazy to get more, so I've been mining for more Iron Ores, as of recent. Going to go to a far away island and mine another area.

My more recent projects consists of me building a giant shrine on an island near "Safe Town 2" (what my friend called his current island). And i'm probably gonna build a giant Touhou character on it.. some day.

Named the bird "Jet Icarus", based off of "Choujin Sentai Jetman".



But uh, this is from top-view. One wing is covered with glass on top, as you can see. I had to shield the top, or else some moron who stumbles on my base might accidentally jump off the wing and die or something. Don't want them to baaaaaw about it to me, so covered the top. Pretty tiny, actually. Where you see the torches marks an "X" on the glass&obsidian, going to make that into something else some day. Probably gonna have a 2nd floor for trees, flowers, and other pomegranate some day on there. But I haven't gotten that far yet.

As for my island I'm working on, it's.. gonna.. be a while.. lol. I haven't been on MC as much due to work, school, and other games, but once I get right back on track, I'm going to have to gather a sh`itload of wood for my one island I'm working on.

Mass-furnaces for quick material burning/farming, whatever. I have more chests on the other wing, but it's not finished. If you see something blue on the left of the img, that's the infinite water thing I made for the Obsidian Farming room.

No, not a way to create new lava sources, lmfao. No, just a way to generate Obsidian quicker, and more efficiently without dying over and over. >_______> And sorry for getting your hopes up. >:

It was just there. For some reason, every single lava block there was like... a source, There was another layer of lava after that one, and I learnt that the harsh way. And the funny thing is that, I ahd no diamond pickaxe when I found it, I turned around adn found exactly 3 diamond blocks.
