2nd semester
#1
With school starting up again for people between now and the next couple of weeks, I was wondering what courses people are taking this semester! Also, what goals, academic or otherwise, do you have for the remaining school year?

Even if you're not in school, feel free to comment on goals that fall into the school calendar.

Aside from the obvious maintaining grades for school, my main goal is to tie up loose ends with friends, family, life, etc. Graduation is right around the corner, and I want the steps after that to be as smooth as possible.

How about you SP?

Next semester I'm gonna be taking more neuroscience courses for my major along with some biology added in to get a bio minor. I do have some literature and English classes I'm in right now that are working towards my creative writing major (shut up) but even though I love it to death I'm looking to change them to something else I guess, probably professional writing classes but I don't know how it'll fit. I might try to change from dual major in Neuroscience and Creative Writing with a bio minor to a dual major in Neuroscience and Bio with a CW minor but I have no idea how it'll work out or if I'll kill myself in the process.

Anyway, aside from that I'm mainly focused on getting some more scholarships and trying to get a neuroscience internship set up somewhere so I can have some decent job options when I get out of grad school. Also trying to get a job--last semester was a pain in the ass since I was broke all the time, so I figure if I get a part-time job on campus somewhere I could afford money for books and stuff or at least do work-study. I'm aiming for the library.

See, you sound infinitely busier than I. I'm rounding up my comp sci. minor now, with my philosophy major already completed (your turn to shut up lol). Last semester I was doing tutoring for comp sci, so hopefully I can pick that back up, otherwise its looking into work study and what not again. I also need to get back in touch with my comp sci chair to get back involved with research, as well as help out with the few organizations I'm involved with at school, and keep the philo reading meetings going. On my list of things to do is look into scholarships for grad school, assuming I'm accepted into one of the programs I've applied.

Cheers to us both!

Worthyness! Go go go get a major! Any in mind yet?

Criminology
Concepts of Physics (with a lab)
Psychology
Introduction to Religion
Video Production (only major-related course this semester)

Aside from Video Production, the rest are all gen eds. :/ Oh well. I'm hoping for 2/4 to be interesting and balance out the other 2.
