Is +12% potential getting removed?

I heard that +12% potential (lvl 121+) is going to be removed, or that it already was. Is this true?

When Chaos update happens, level 121+ equips give the same amount of potential as 71-120 equips.

Whether already potentialed gear that gives +12% will change, I do not know.

I don't think they'll go through the effort to change equips that already have level 121+ potentials because they're pretty hard to get.

Yeah I'm pretty sure they're going away.

It got changed in KMS, which didn't have any level 121+ gear at the time the change was done. Anything about it being removed in GMS is just speculation right now.

the VIP xbow was broken at first and gave low level potential bonuses, but after the patch the stats changed automatically to the higher level without needing to cube. Looks like the item stores the kind of bonus, not the value, so yes, current items would change.

As if there would be a difference between 10 * 3 * 9% (+270% stats) or 10 * 3 * 12% (+360% stats)...
