From someone on the outside and looking in as far as this community goes, what the hell? I understand that people may not agree with Jamie, and I can't say that I do either, but are we really that immature? For a second I thought this was LOLsleepywood or LOLbellocan.com, where people of different opinions are ridiculed for simply being different. What happened to Eosian? You've contributed so much to this site, and I used to view your 200 watch religiously hoping to see my IGN on there. Why tear her down like that? I'll be the first to admit i've made dumb threads in other forums and here too probably but silence goes a hell of a lot farther in stopping threads you find unnecessary than tearing someone's character apart. Don't blink but Jamie Korosawa isn't exactly innocent of the things you stated as well. Her posting history and also her stance as an intellectual might be contributing factors for the attacks in this thread.

I understand she may have a record of posts that people dislike. At the same time though, aren't all people allowed decency? Disagree, but why treat her like complete pomegranate? I don't think Eos was being too harsh (well, maybe the poll assuming this was his doing), but Jamie does need a reality check after repeatedly giving us Red Herrings whenever we argue against her.

I had a giggle about mutants, well put. My thought is, Albert Einstein was a weird pineappleing guy, and got kicked out of school because he thought differently. Imagine the crap the kids in his class and around him gave him. But he's responsible for a noteworthy part of modern science because of the things he did after being rejected from the norm. In my opinion, no matter what, people have a right to their opinion. That being said though, it has been fairly Red Herring as far as defending herself and her opinion.

I don't think people purposely tried to attack you. Also, you can't use Emotional Appeal as a counter to arguments against you.

More ad hominems. You can not expect every person here to have religiously followed your postings in this forum. If a method exists to alleviate you from your situation and yet you refuse to follow it then you are in no position to complain.

As stated by Eos, there is no plausible way this can have any effect. When you can not even get 1% of the population to follow you, what hope do you have that a difference can be made? Nexon is aware of the problem; that's probably as far as you can go.

Albert Einstein might have thought differently but at least he still has a logical reason to follow through with his opinions. Jamie made her statements and could not back them up. The arguments have progressed to the point where she appears to have to resort to fallacious counters. Yes people have the right to an opinion, but unfortunately Jamie consistently fails to back them up and refuses to accept the possibility that her reasoning is wrong. I'll finish this off with some quotes from Jamie:

And by suggesting actions that could somehow be seen as a grassroots attack against them you're basically suggesting the same concept as a boycott and the point is that it not only won't work but makes no sense to do so. It's not as if the problem you're dealing with is somehow good for Nexon, it hurts them. I hope you don't think that Nexon thinks the small amount of players without cs access are not worth helping, because if you don't think that then I can't perceive any valid reason to think that they are trying (and maybe failing) to help you.
Look, a lot of people find every possible reason to bash Nexon in order to victimize themselves, and I'm not saying that you're doing that because you do have a valid concern, but the cynicism about "punishment" and such is just hollow complaining that really doesn't seem to amount to a lot. Yes, Albert Einstein was ridiculed a lot from one of his biographies I've read. Steven Hawking was too apparently. Yeah everyone always picks on the smart person because the smart person has something they lack...
As far as Eosian's comment goes... he's the site owner, chief administrator, and big cheese here so he fairly much can say and do what he wants and set a great example for others, but getting it to actually affect me and make me feel bad is another. I've been hurt in FAR worse ways that he would not find funny, humorous, or even remotely worth attacking trying to induce comedy. Am I over it? No and probably won't be for the rest of my life, but it didn't kill me and leave me six feet under, as I'm sure a few people would hope, so I do know what it means to let stuff roll off your back.
And yes I am still waiting for the miracle patch from Nexon. It'll be a miracle if it fixes it, it'll be an even bigger miracle if it arrives soon, and it'll be the biggest miracle if it doesn't break something else.

Voted on 1 - Granted, nothing will ever happen. Even if some stop buying NX, we get typical spoiled brats and NX whore constantly flaunting their money. "It's my money, I can use it however I want." (Why does anyone even hire people like that?)
But! It's not -just- Nexon that's the problem, it's part of the community. They both influence each other. Community gets irritated, and then Nexon gets irritated. Of course, rarely will Nexon get irritated enough to do something that makes the community happy.
Granted, Nexon has been getting better. Been waiting for Big Bang, and they didn't do something stupid like 'Start the New Year with a Big Bang!" [It's stupid because school resumes, as well as, not many people have the patience. Rather, most were prepared to stop/quit, and I heard the population started dying by a bit, especially with the glitches and rollbacks.]
Back to the subject, you have a point, people should start doing more, instead of blatantly complaining. Who knows, maybe the issue is that we're all mostly disconnected from Nexon. It's just a constant clash between Nexon and the average community/mapler/etc.
At least, that's a way of looking at it from both angles.

For those who don't know, the reason many have issue with Jamie is something of her character that can, actually, be quite easily gleaned by simply reading her posts. She's very condescending towards other members of the forum, which is hilarious since she's the one who is instantly "hurt for the rest of her life" by various comments that show a lack of respect towards her. But more than that is the fact that she tends to simply be wrong many times, yet stubbornly clings to her punches and refuses to admit she's wrong, all in the delusional aspiration that doing so will maintain - or somehow build - her status as an "intellectual."
Jamie, I think I speak on behalf of many of those disgruntled with your postings in this thread and many in the past when I say this, but we really don't mean any harm or disrespect to you; most of us here at Southperry don't to any member, new or old. However, the instant someone displays an inability to correct gross inaccuracies, especially in the presence of blatant, external correction, and accompanies such actions with a condescending attitude towards those attempting to set the facts straight...that's the instant perceptions take a turn for the worse. Like someone said in the infamous DADT thread, you're a very smart girl, and there's no denying that when reading your usage of the English language throughout your posts, but perhaps taking the time to reevaluate your perspectives of "always needing to present a minority opinion," "always needing to expand the realm of thought on an issue," and the like would be a wise idea. Lord knows we all try and look at issues from your view, but honey, time after time they're just not always correct or appropriate.

FrozN... what happened to me in real life when I was 16 is nothing related to being hurt here. Let's leave that alone, as well for the one other person who actually knows the whole story.
And I'm not condescending towards people. Let me say it this way and maybe it'll be clearer... it's not my view of people that leads me to show disgust for them, it's my disgust for people being rude, impolite, and ignorant towards the fact someone sees things differently. Right or wrong. Same or different. People have opinions and perspectives, even me.
Example: I had a good point of view with the DADT topic, and I'll close that subject off by saying it this way. I wasn't pointing out the idea was bad, I was pointing out the foundation of the ideas weren't completely solid and the whole DADT reversal wasn't without some sort of problems of it's own.
