This is, by far, the biggest surprise. I mean, Nexon actually giving the characters some kind of depth? Alex, of every people, being the one to return and take the lead in the town. This made my day.

Although, I believe Athena is the name of a godess, and it is possible for GMS to recognise Athena as a female and for KMS to recognise Helena as a male. Or maybe s/he is both? I honestly have no clue anymore with poor translations and the fact that (iirc) Asian languages do not use gender specific pronouns.

And if you look above, there is proof that GMS recognises Athena as a she.

In a secret quest line in KMS, Kyrin mentions that she sees Helena/Athena like a mother because she raised Kyrin when her father disappeared.

Athena/Helena is female, when you're doing the Ellin Forest PQ, bowmen transform into her...and she's wearing Lv35 female equips.

Bosses loook fun >=] Hopefully limited to that 12K dmg and no more. The fact that there's different phases to it, reminds me of PB.

That's not really proof, she could have been a male crossdressing. After all if you're playing on a male bowman you transform into a female which is a form of crossdressing? Cross gendering? Something along those lines.

But, the screenshot CJ posted says that Athena is a her so there isn't really a point in going on with it.
