Off-Topic: Besides WoW, MS which MMORPGs have u played?

I can't view the link due to websense blocking most things here at work, but AeriaGames... I've played one of their games before. Dream Of Mirror was an extremely fun game for me. If you mixed maple and WoW together, you'd get Dream of Mirror.

I was l l close to quitting MS for dream, but I stayed on MS for susie.

I heard you couldn't really get pass the boss on level 1, not sure if they fixed it.
Complete rip off of Maplestory IMO, they even took part of the name.

The only similarity between them is that the artistic style appears to be light in nature (although it is plainly obvious that even the art style is vastly different and only similar in TONE). That and the name, but having "story" in the name means little... think of how many games have "legend" in the title and think of how similar they are.

I'm pretty sure they kind of ripped off the sub-title too, but I can't find it at the moment.

I was also pretty sure it was 2d side scrolling too, but looking at the screenshots, scratch that.

I played it for a bit during it's first closed beta session. It's alright. If you've played La Tale, it's pretty much like that except with isometricness. Though, I couldn't get pass the first boss because it was unbelievely strong.

There are tons of games with a fixed iso view (it's an easy way to simulate 3-D). It's impossible at this point to call any one of them a rip off of another unless the developers specifically mention they drew inspiration from one in particular. It'd be like trying to argue that MapleStory ripped off the platforming idea from Sonic the Hedgehog on Genesis, even though there were plenty of platform based games created long before then.

Let me just tell you all now...the game sucks.

I played for a brief time and the lag was so bad that the game was near unplayable. Based on what I've heard, the lag is still present, but I don't know if its really as big a problem as it was.

Afrobean: Ya, you got a point there. But what I was trying to say is: there were few MMORPGs back in the day, and some of them are still inspiration for many of the new ones. (Talking about EverQuest and so on). That's what I meant. Anyway, there's no PIStory for me. :3
