Zhelms bannable?
#1
Well, I have finally saved up enough mesos to purchase a Zhelm from a respectable guild that has a lot of recomendations. My only problem is, my friends keep telling me that it is now a bannable offence to purchase a helmet. Can anyone confirm this and give some proof?

False.

It seems to be only a bannable offense in MapleSEA.

Put it this way: If it were a bannable offense, then there'd be tonnes of people banned already x_X and you'd hear about it. I mean, if they banned people for it, then A LOT of people would be banned. Till you see a nexon announcement banning the selling of z-helms (and even so, people in MSEA still secretly buy/sell helms), then there should be no problem with it.

Does your friend have a z-helmet yet? It seems to me these rumors are made by people jealous they dont have the money for a z-helm trying to make those with the money for one miserable x_X

Seems to be a lot of misunderstanding of the maplesea announcement...

They banned selling Zakum slots to people who can kill zakum because people were monopolizing the altar, and only letting their friends or people who paid go on runs, and harrassing anyone else who tried to sign up on the schedule.

Isnt that similar to what Vengeance did in Scania back in the day and Eternity did on Tespia for a few waves (till they inserted the timer)?

That being said, then its legal to sell helmets in MSEA then?

I don't know if they allow it, but the motivation was people complaining about certain groups holding the altar hostage for mesos, pretty much.

I think even with the timer they were doing it, if someone else managed to sign up they'd have all their friends crash the run until someone made it in (you can only block 10 people from signing up -_-) and then once in the altar they'd just loot the Eyes of Fire until the group gave up and left.

Didn't Vengeance get banned for being jerks? /x

I totally doubt it is either in GLobalMS or MSEA, I serisouly don't see how you can get banned from it (unless you scam one from someone)

Lol like half of their members got banned for 3 days. But that was all ;P

And z-helm selling is indeed illegal in mSEA, but it still happens only a little bit more secretly Rolleyes

I doubt my friend made this up because he was jealous, but I'm sure its a rumor that he heard and was just trying to protect me from getting banned.
Thank you to everyone that helped clear this up for me.

correct. when i played msea before the zhelm selling ban, the only way to get into zakum was connections with high lvls. everyday it wud be monopolized by the high lvl guilds at every time slot. needless to say, the ban threat was needed to tone down asses who held zak 24/7.

 Ban Notice

GMS isn't as bad as msea, trust me.
