Idk why you prance around screaming about buccs so much. You aren't even good at playing them. I agree with the kid in your sig. I like the song though. n___n
EDIT: On second thought. nevermind. I don't like the song either.

I still don't understand the thing with Snatch. It seems like a waste. It's so slow, it seems like it would be better not to use it at all. I mean, if Vipers still had to rely on stunning to hit criticals, I could see it being useful, but otherwise, it seems like a hindrance more than it is helpful.
The way you're using it to gather and THEN push seems like a huge waste of time. It'd be easier just to run past them, then back elbow them, then spam the hell out of them with Dragon Strike.

It lets me control the map a lot easier though. Mobility is all connected to having monsters right next to you otherwise you just have to walk, plus taking damage more often is kind of suggested now because we have revenge. Snatch makes it really easy to not waste time killing the straggler or to form a mob on a fresh platform. It does a lot of damage for level 1 so i really wanna get it to 4 targets.

It's going to be sooooo painful to have to walk 5 pixels to the next monster! Oh, the agony! The way you're using Snatch, I mean, it makes it look pointless. It's SLOWER than actually pushing the monsters together with Screw Punch or Back Elbow. Sitting there for a second and a half to pull a couple of mobs and then do something you're going to do anyway (push with Back Elbow + Screw Punch) seems pretty pointless and a waste of time. I could see it being useful if you were to say... Snatch a monster and then Dragon Strike the f'uck out of a mob, but pushing them for half a map after using Snatch? Really?

Is this video to show off how good Buccaneers are or to just show how they train at Oblivions? From a training standpoint, the video makes Buccaneers extremely unappealing. Kind of slow with lots of damage being taken - of course this isn't something that can be helped on your end (I don't believe in character control in a game like Maple, to an extent).
I always prefer watching a Bucc that's not in transformation... such a shame it only lasted a brief moment. Don't care for the music. Hurts the ears, hurts the vocal cords and is totally impossible to make out the lyrics (from that screamer at least). At least the song's an improvement from the last video.

I'm still pretty sure walking in general is slower than what i'm doing. Do you want to challenge me to a kill contest or something? ![]() ShiKage Wrote:The way you're using Snatch, I mean, it makes it look pointless. It's a video of me training in a map... Being fast just entails being strong. Which i am not. D: Still only +6% str. >.> I take a lot of damage but i heal a lot of damage too. More than other characters heal, though not the most. Normal form is the most limited even though DS is faster. I really hate being slow... shouri Wrote:What program are you using to record this anyways? Fraps and virtualdub with sony vegas

I usually don't watch GMS training vids (or pretty much GMS vids at all) seeing as how they usually aren't anything new, but decided to take a peek at this since I'm also a Buccaneer.
Of course I usually dislike vids that change the Maple BGM into anything else, unless it's particularly good. However I did find the "control" in this video to be a bit strange, with some actions seemingly useless. It made me wonder if some of the skills in this video were used for show or for actual training. As for the snatch bit going on in this thread, it does seem to be a pretty useless skill. It's a shame it isn't any faster. The main times I use snatch other than for fun is if I'm about to go up a ladder, yet see a few enemies in the distance I don't want to run to, in which I'd just use snatch to bring em over. Dragon Strike may seem like an alternative instead of using snatch first, however depending on the distance the DK may end up KBing the monster out of range, wasting even more time. As a semi-off topic bit, it kinda sucks how Buccs almost need to be in Super Transform most of the time. While I do enjoy the DPS and various buffs, it sucks how it's almost pointless to have any CS-look or unique look for the character.

Would be kinda cool to have, but would look really weird animated methinks. Seems like you were lagging a lot in this vid o_o So far it looks really similar to what i usually do, but i haven't leveled enough to try it at ToT. I've been at bains and that's a hell of a lot easier to mob. Also like to save pots as much as possible, so i tend to drain a lot and MP recovery often. I also think snatch seems kinda useless. How's Orb work out in this? Have you tried it recently? o_O

Snatch would be useful if it was Monster Magnet, and you didn't have Dragon Strike, which has 100% more range than Snatch. Sadly, neither of those is true.

Obviously, you didn't get what I said. It would be way faster to just move to the one side of the mobs behind you, then rush them, THEN Dragon Strike them. I didn't suggest you turn one way, spam Dragon Strike, then do the same facing another direction.

I haven't played my Bucc in well over a year...and even I can say:
What the hell was that?

It looks like you hopped on your friend's Bucc on his account, and having no experience, decided to make this video and attempt to gloat your amazingness, when your actual playing style is horrid...
