I actually saw some ss'es of this a while back on figure.fm, because it's a Nendo, shouldn't be pricey AT ALL. But because it IS Kuroneko, better pre-order/buy it before supplies runs out~. Did you bought your's already? Assuming it came out?

The only Ore no Imouto figure I recently pre-ordered was a Beach Queen ver. Kirino*, but I won't be getting that til March. Not interested in Nendoroids anymore.. I got a BRS Nendo, and that's really all I wanted. I actually don't like the interchangeable parts, because it's annoying for me to keep track of it.

Slightly unrelated, I packed up most of my figurines and put them back in their original boxes. I really would hate to see dust on them, and it bothers me a lot. I actually dust them weekly, and even then, it annoys me to see dust on them here and there. I just dusted them as much as I could, and put them back in the boxes. I only have my BRS Nendo, Race Queen Rei Ayanami, and a special edition / figure of Aya [Touhou] out on my desk. The rest, I packed up. Recently got a Fumino Serizawa figurine that I purchased too, she was around 80 USD or so, forgot. Still haven't opened her. <3 And I don't intend to.

I'm normally not one to buy figures, but dammit, I want to get that one.

Most figures are sold in limited amounts and restock god knows when (if ever).

You get used to it when you collect figures. Have to keep up with the times or else you may miss your chance and never get it again unless you want to pay double the retail price on an auction site.

Yeah, sometimes, you only get one chance, it's all a matter of luck, and a lot of demand. Even of auction sites, sometimes, the prices can be ridiculous for older figurines that are no longer in production. I usually go the sales section on AmiAmi and check for what I want, even then, I don't always buy everything I see on there. Sometimes, I check multiple times a day, even if I think they might not update. Like that one time when I managed to get a Nendo BRS for around 1.2k JPY (cheap), considering that the full price was well over 2,000 JPY, last I checked.

Hasn't GSC been doing made-to-order runs for Figmas and Nendos, though? I mean, that was true of BRS at least.

I got some new stuff and I still haven't opened some old stuff (BRS Figma, for one...). I've been lazy about gluing my broken ditage together... so tomorrow I'm going to sit down and do that, and set all this up. Will probably take pics then.

...I will have to conquer 8 Nendoroid Petit stands first, though. That... won't be fun.

Otherwise we wouldn't be seeing figure prices skyrocket after they get sold out everywhere. They've yet to re-release their Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei Nendoroid, and I'd love to get my hands on one.

What a great pose. If I bought this Kuroneko Nendo, I probably would have her in this pose most of the time.

Well, they sold over 160,000 Nendoroid and Figma BRSs combined. So... yeah. I'm not sure what individual releases have gone that route since, but I haven't seen any Nendoroids/Figmas sell out while in pre-orders either, compared to when the K-ON Figmas sold out within minutes.

Double posting, but...

Nendoroid Petit Kagami's stand went in fine after I heated it.

Putting in Nendoroid Petit Tsukasa's stand took around 20 minutes.

Figma Luka's stand then BROKE BEFORE I COULD EVEN TRY TO PUT IT IN LUKA, though thankfully in a way glue will fix.

Figma BRS's gun hand DOES NOT WANT TO ATTACH TO HER ARM, so trying again tomorrow.

On to AngelBeats! NP sets... Yusa went first, and... her stand broke. In a way I CAN'T FIX. Thankfully, Shiina comes with an extra stand due to her alternate legs, but I first have to remove the broken part from Yusa's base. While trying to do, I ragequit.

TRYING AGAIN TOMORROW. AND GLUING THINGS. ;_;

When it first came out it was about ￥7,000 if I remember correctly. But it's sold out everywhere by now, so people can get away with raising the price so much.

Double-posting anyways, since this post is irrelevant to the previous discussion. Have you guys looked at some Otaku rooms recently? I stumbled upon this one, and this is one of the more neater rooms I've seen. I've seen some really far-out there stuff that probably costed thousands of dollars, but still, I like this room since it's extremely bright and tidy.

Yeah, there are room threads on /jp/ all the time.

This is probably one of my favorite otaku rooms I've seen. It's got a lot of style and class- the wallpaper and the framed Umineko portraits along with other images look gorgeous and they also get along with the choice of furniture (the clock looks really nice over there). It has some generally strong unity and doesn't seem like a whacky collection of assorted merchandising. My props to this guy. (Wait, did I seriously just talk about interior decorating in a figure thread?)

I've seen a few pretty well organized ones, but haven't really saved much from room threads.
