don't remember stats, but STR was at least 10, INT was 6-7, and DEX was normal.

My skill build was actually totally legit, even by today's standards. I quit the character because I was always looking to acquire better stars, and I made an F/P wiz to fund my obsession with getting Tobis. Haven't made a sin since, they look awfully boring after 1st job.

I made an archer and started pumping hp because it proportionally gave a ton at lower levels... quit it at like level 15 though because I didn't like archers and remade into a mage, which had correct stats but got deleted when beta was shut down.

lol, when I started I made a Warrior that never made it to 2nd job...

He sucked, 40 Str, and proportional Dex, Int and Luk

Ardinea is my first character, and I had to remake her because I wasn't informed of perfect stat rolling (rolling 4/4 on stats you don't need.)

Luckily, I was informed enough not to screw up on my stats, but I screwed my 1st job skills up. I didn't max power strike or slash blast because it was costing me a lot in pots and my genius mind was all like "less mp, less skill level, luls what could go wrong?" Little did I know that I need it until 3rd job, so I just sacrificed Final Attack. I have 18 final attack =P

The points at the end of 1st job went to improving HP recovery, btw.

my next magician was lvl 29 with 9 magic guard ~ quit
my 3rd try i got it right

First character: GW2001, Lvl. 6 Beginner in Bera (quit after realizing my friends were in Windia)

Second character: GW2002, Lvl. 13 Magician in Windia with 9 STR and 12 DEX (accidently added 5 DEX, and quit after that happened) skill build normal

Third character (main): GW2003, Lvl. 77 Priest in Windia, 5 STR, 5 DEX

My first one was a level 29 warrior with about 20 INT. (Only after my brother said, HEY, PUT EVERYTHING IN ONE STAT! did I realize that this was bad.)

I would run around in "noob" clothes and laugh at people who were 15-16.

Second one was a cleric with STR (like +10 or something). She got to 53 and then I quit her, too, to move on to real REAL maplestory.

Oh yeah, both of these were Beta...man, how long ago was that? (The first August of Beta. Was that like, four years ago? O_O)

I didn't max the hp increase skill as soon as possible.
I added 2 or 3 dex every level because I wanted to kill jr. neckis for that quest.

I'm quite glad that the closing of beta gave me a chance to start over.

AP messups: I think I had a few points in HP cause I thought it'd help me survive more and die less often. I think I also put a few points into LUK and INT to be more "all around".
SP messups: 19 Double shot, 10 Arrow Blow. I was getting Blessing (lol >_>) cause I read a guide on GameFaqs (Im not even sure why I did... D and it said to get a good level of blessing. I did that, then got Arrow Blow to 10 cause I thought it was stronger. Then a friend told me that Double Shot was stronger so I converted half way through and had to choose between 19 DS/20 Critical or 20 DS/19 Critical and went with the first. In 2nd job, I got 10 bomb before starting mastery.

Others: I didnt know about SP till level 18, meaning I shot single arrows all the way up till 18 without range, critical, etc. D: I wouldnt even have known till one day I asked my friend what MP was for and he told me it was for skills, and I went "what are those?" and he told me to press S and I saw 25 SP sitting there, so I started pumping things I saw in the guide and... went really wrong xD

-I never trained. I PQ'd and hung out with the cool people.
-I added points into MP. Yes, I know, you can shoot me now.
-I always thought there was some glitch with my char, because she wasn't as strong as everyone expected.
-Everyone expected me to be leveling faster than I really was. It greatly frustrated me.
-I never knew what grinding was at the time. But I can never forgive myself for quitting her and deleting her. Had I not quit her, she would be around 12x now, with messed up stats and all );
