Final Fantasy IV te be remade for the PSP

Final Fantasy IV is being remade. Again. But the newly announced PSP version looks like it could be the ultimate version for those who want to experience the full FFIV story.

Japan's V Jump magazine has a first look at Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection. This compilation includes both Final Fantasy IV and WiiWare's Final Fantasy IV The After Years on one disc. Square Enix is also adding a new scenario that bridges the two games.

The classic SNES visuals are being redone for the PSP. From what we've seen, the whole game now looks like The After Year's WiiWare version, although we imagine the quality will be even nicer on the PSP's screen.

Japan will get The After Years in the Spring. There's no word yet on a release outside of Japan.

Well, I played it on a SNES emu and didn't play the After Years because I didn't have a Wii, what's wrong with bundling them together and port them to the PSP? I and II already are on the PSP. Sadly we won't see V or VI (which you can already play on the PSX version available on the PSN), so what's the problem? I, II, IV (+ After Years), VI, VII (+ Crisis Core), VIII and IX are available legitly on the console. Call that a blast.

Fucking hated FFIV. Was way too hard. Got to the final dungeon, and the final boss basically double turned me before I got to move and killed my entire party. I tried to get the legendary equipment from there, but the same result occurred with those faggots too. Thus, I ragequit. Mind you, this was ten or so years ago, but still. Bad memories. Especially everyone you recruiting to the party dying.

I have a Wii, a PS2, two DS's, just bought a PS3, and just bought a new desktop. They all have many games that I wanna play. The PSP? Not enough. Not nearly enough games that I wanna play, that and I'd feel like a complete IDORT if I get the PSP. Hell I already feel like an IDORT for having both PS3 and Wii but at least I'm never touching X-Box to be a complete IDORT.

Try the GBA version, and go into the Aftergame moon dungeon. THAT'S HARD!

The argument made sense until you brought up the IDORT thing. Unless you're totally against softmodding, you could play thousands of platforms on the PSP, even the PSX.

Yes. Yes I am against softmodding. I'm also against spending so much money without getting the most bang outta my buck. The PS3 was because my friends wanted me to play with them and there's also a ton of PS3 games I wanna play.The new desktop was only because my 4-year old one died a couple months ago. Ain't gonna get anymore consoles for a long time now thanks to this; I am still gonna need a replacement for this 4-year old laptop of mines as well, so PSP will have to wait for over 9000 years now.

Everyone wants the bloody remake to look as modern as it can for the ps3. Good graphcs, good voice acting, and the Awesome developers room in the dwarven pub.
