It's now or never, especially with that Ring's days ticking down.
Now, I've been a fan of Maplestory for quite a while (like, 3+ years) However, grades (?), a somewhat addictiveness, and other games caused me to somewhat move on. I'm been quite Maplestory-free for the past 2 months. However...that goddamm Big Bang patch just had to be pretty good. Despite my longetivity of playing, I've never really gotten past level 80ish. Now apparently you can do that so much more easily.
Now, keep in mind if I come back, I'll probably head off to Zenith and join the Southperry crew. However, my grades may drop. I don't know. I don't really see any improvement in my grades with/without Maplestory. Also keep in mind I play strictly Saturday and Sunday, sometimes not even then. Hell, nowadays during Junior year hell, I really only play games. Last, it's now or never. I'm kind of OCD and if I miss that Time limited Ring event I'll probably quit Maplestory for a really long time.
Meh...I don't feel like typing the rest of my pros and cons in paragraph format, so here's a list.
Pros:
-I'll get to talk to you guys.
-More fun, I guess? I might need a stress reliever.
-Able to reach a decently high level for the first time since...forever.
-Finally get a Dragon Knight. I've always wanted one T_T.
-Get that time-limited Ring.
Cons:
-Possibility of lowering grades
-Not being able to play Vindictus, which is a really great game
-Getting addicted to this game

Do whatever you want. If you want the ring then get it. If you want to get a DK then get one. If you want better grades then study for them. If you want to play Vindictus then play it. If you want to talk to us then talk to us. If you don't want to get addicted then don't waste your time on focusing on only one thing.

Maple lowering grades is bull. Unless you only play the game and neglect your school work completely. Vindictus, haven't tried it, but you can definitely balance 2 games. I've done it for years. As for the ring.. if you haven't started from day 1, you won't get the fully evolved one. Dragon Knights are well worth it. (I myself have a Dark Knight and love it) All warriors can be a pain to train to 3rd job, but big bang really does make it much easier. <3 Improved fundamentals. Zenith... I dunno about that one. Seems like many people are only there for the bandana and some fun, and then back to their main servers. If you do return to the game, go to a server with your closest SP friends.

Keep in mind you have already lost a good number of the possible upgrades to the ring.
Also, if you play moderately (watching times and things) maple can be a good stress reliever and a way to take your mind off problems. Just don't start playing obsessively or going crazy about how weak you are.

I wish I knew what I prioritize. Probably grades first, but then I do need some time to relax and all. I'm just too scared of getting addicted, plus, I really don't want to quit Vindictus, but it is kind of dieing.

What I dislike about balancing games is that you can never be REALLY good at one game. With the amount of free time I have, I kind of want to focus it on one game.
And about the ring....I could've sworn I read someone on Southperry say that you can complete the event multiple times in one day.

You can do 2 ring upgrades in one sitting by getting the first one before mid-night and the second right after. Other than that it's impossible.

Everything in moderation? I mean even after big bang, I try to keep my playing at a minimum so that I can concentrate on school/still have time for Vindictus. I mean I think I only play about 3-5 hours a week.

Won't you have a bit of free time around Christmas? Winter break, right?

Technically, yes.
Maybe I shoudn't ask a Maplestory forum this question.

Hahaha, good point. But I manage to juggle 3 games and school. Just make sure you get done what you NEED to get done. And that's ALL really. Try to have a life otherwise, too. :p

You should rejoin, but in my opinion you shouldn't join the new world. If you want a DK, get one. It would be sweet. And then you'd be like, "Yes!". And then you can quit for another two months and make another one of these threads. And then it would all repeat.

I quit maple after the potential patch.
I think of it like this:
I get past 17x and then I have to pay hundreds just to get my ideal godly gear, only to have to put up with the constant ks wars over major bosses like anego (even though shes crap now) and such with dc hacks everyone and map crash. I could have put up with that before, but now I have to pay to do all this? Bs
My two cents.
