I know about that one too. Problem is that it wouldn't be funny. ;_; Unless the subs were made by another fan, and it was just shoved in that video for fun. I'm still awaiting for the official anime, but who knows how long til it comes out. It seems like it's gonna take forever.

...how is Touhou pronounced, anyway? I usually go with toe-hoe or toe-who, but I'm guessing that's not right?

According to two friends:

Friend A (who is pretty good at japanese), said "Toh-Hoh".

Friend B (who speaks Japanese fluently), said "Toh-Hoh".

Both are different people. I'm going to assume they're right.

@Joe: You better be f`ucking kidding. F`ucking kidding.

Sauce Wrote:Q: How the hell do you pronounce Touhou anyway?
A: The characters that precede every game title, 東方, romanize to Touhou, and in English is (rarely, as very few use it) spelled as Toho (short O vowel sounds). Pronouncing it like Toohoo (long O vowel sounds) is technically incorrect, though very common, as a result of the spelling.

Several other sauces said it's Toe-Hoe / Toh-Hoh, and not Too-Who. Who the f`uck says Too-Who. My IRL friend does that, I cringe.

I usually go "at least I think it's said that way; it might be "too who" ", so... yeah.

Thanks, though.

Ok, seriously. I kept saying "Too-hoo", then one of my friends IRL said "No.. it's Toh-hoh". He doesn't even play it, and he was probably right. I just researched this now, seems like a lot of sites will refer to it as Toh-hoh/toe-hoe rather than Too-hoo, because a lot of people are incorrectly pronouncing it.

Now another f`uck is saying Too-hoo, and I have to correct him every time.

Also an acceptable pronunciation.

I was always under the impression it was toh-hoh. For a white guy I'm strangely decent with japanese pronunciation :<

A lot of people I know are saying it as "Toh-hoh". Then there are a large majority that pronounces it as "Too-Hoo". Confusing. :v

It's pronounced とうほう。 Japanese syllabary isn't hard. The う's make the "o" sound at the ends long.

Still not actually official, more like ZUN-approved. Also, the first video posted has no relation to the anime project coming out, it's just a fan opening, like this one:

It gained a lot of popularity because the animation is professional quality.

The actual PV for the Touhou anime being released is at the 38 second mark of this video:

Haven't been keeping up with news, but I'm fairly sure all we have is a camrip of the PV.

There's too much left to interpretation for Touhou to be an anime. Every production staff has their own view of what each character's personality is like.

Jokesubs. Though, it's kinda funny, because at least some lines don't derail too much from the actual lines being said.
