Targa and scarlion, tips and tricks.
#1
Rumors go that malaysia will be released soon in EMS.

Targa and scarlion is what i want from it, new bosses.
I want to know what's their touch and magic damage, pre-big bang.
What are good tips to fight them?

It'll be me as an aran and my friend as an xbow with a possible HB mule.
Just trying to figure out how to duo it, any tips and tricks are welcome Biggrin

Eh, it's been awhile since I've fought those two. My memory isn't too great but the damage they deal shouldn't be a problem until the 3rd body. The damage seems to go a little over 5000? 6000? You'll likely need HB in order to survive, unless you HP washed.

Judging by your level, you probably can't even knock back the bosses. You need to hit roughly.. 30k-40k from a single hit, if I'm not mistaken.

Scarlion is taken down faster than Targa, because Targa has an annoying attack that makes him charge forward and he'll jump backwards (which is dangerous on 3rd body, especially without HB.) Well, that's all I can think of right now. I'm sure someone else will correct me if I'm wrong. =x

Thanks, and i was planning to level a bit more before attempting him, i think a 96 aran will have quite some problems, haha.

They do about 7.5-8k touch damage depending on your defense. Scarlion is pretty mindless if you have more than 2.5k HP and you can keep it pinned in a corner. Targa has a charging attack and a laser balloons attack that are pretty much impossible to avoid, so you need to have the full 8kish HP to survive there. Neither boss casts any sort of curses and if you can tank their hits, you're golden. Just bring a few pots.

Correction: Scar casts reverse directions, careful not to walk into it when you're trying to escape it.

Eh? I haven't fought it in forever, but it must not do it often if it does, because I don't recall ever getting Crazy Skull'd.

It does. I actually forgot about it, haha.

You can also send Scar to the wall and then attack from 1 of the platforms so you won't bump into the boss for any reason. But if you let the boss move forward and jump at you then I guess you're pretty much dead (if you don't have enough hp that is). Since Arans move forward too much, platforms like these should help a lot. I mostly use my DB these days and I've been using the platform to use final cut in case somehow my 999 avoid fails on me (which does, rarely though).

edit: I didn't account for the possible delays when trying to recast buffs and I doubt anyone is going to be spamming 1 key all day without buffing a few times. If you somehow get hit by the reverse keys effect and were going to run away to buff, then I guess you can get screwed easily during this as well.

Hm, so how much does scarlion move? Would an aran using final charge be enough to keep him pinned, while said aran was still attacking most of the time?

Also, side-question, at what level would an aran have 6k hp? Just a guesstimate?

Scarlion moves like a normal mob, and has a 50k knockback.

Don't do either boss on Windows 7 because when it changes bodies, you will DC Big Grin

Scarlion is easier because i think it does less magical damage, so HB isn't too necessary. Targa i know does a IMAFIRINMAHLAZOR attack that does like 8k damage.

One way to decrease the odds of disconnecting is changing your graphics quality for every body you take down. Otherwise, do it every few minutes. =3c
