Not, Ticket->4 months->Email change form->6 months->Fax to change info.

No, that's stupid. This fucking fax bullshit needs to be removed completely. Same with identification. They need to do what sites like MSN and google do and just ask for a slew of personal information, IP address, ISP and such. Tons of other games manage this pomegranate properly without the need for FAXING PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION. Nexon should too.

You mean the IP that hackers use by loading it up with a masked .RAR file on your msn/skype and capture it to use to recover said email? Which is why so many hotmail accounts get hacked in the first place?

Stop using unsecured third party programs or stop adding internet strangers.

Games like WoW and stuff survive without the need for you to fax personal information, and Nexon needs to follow their lead. Hell, it was suggested that they implement those random number keychain things a while ago and that really seems like the best form of account security possible. There's no reason for Nexon not to implement that and just cut the risk entirely.

Maybe Nexon could pay for my flight to Los Angeles?

In my case my friend in real life who plays maple and attend the same college classes I do fell for this. In turn the hacker then spider webbed too my account and used the same method under his identity. In other words he sent me a bowling invite, cancelled it, and I was done.

Currently your email is the backbone. When you lose access to the email, and relying on information such as "registration date" as a backbone is stupid especially for a game for 8 year olds.

I'd sign up for this, problem is once they meet me I'd probably piss them off royally to a point I'd probably get banned for telling them off in person of how obtuse, pompous, manipulative, and asinine they are towards the players and community... other problem is... I live outside the L.A. area.

For some reason I think NEXON kinda had that in mind. Two things especially could back this up. Writing and drawing. They could be asking for a slew of writers and drawers to make new monsters, maps, and a story to fit into Masteria. If this is the case they better review things VERY carefully to find people who really care about Masterian lore. Why else would they ask for something like this when they could just pick anything KMS has or any other WT out there.

Well this is somewhat new...they're taking a new approach with interaction with their fellow players.

I want to see how this really turns out. Lol

Didn't they do something like this before, and the person they picked asked noob questions that could have easily been answered in a Q&A section of any Maplestory forum?

Yes, they've done this at least 2 times before unless I'm mistaken.

I wonder why they're doing this.

So they can say "look, we do talk with our players" if anyone lists lack of interaction with their players as a negative of Nexon.

When it comes time to actually discussing and negotiating content/game policy with Nexon employees/leaders in person, it is best to hold off the frustration and communicate in a way that gets all concerns across. Insulting them in their faces will surely not net any positive results. Take it from someone who's actually done it (as in, I've talked to them in a positive way, not chaotic). Wink
