A couple questions

1.) What free program can I use that will fully display all the contents of a .tga image file? I've tried Gimp and Paint.NET, but I'm getting all these white alpha spots. I kinda want those spots to go away for once instead of only getting the "background" image.

(The in-game camera is zoomed in all the way. I never saw those marks on her on my old laptop due to crap graphics settings, so I decided to take a picture xD)

--The minimap looks lightly colored, when it's actually supposed to be of a darker shade. You know, fog of war dark.
--The trees and flowers look to be lined with snow.
--The text "Latency (ms)" counter is supposed to be green.


2.) My router, both the old one and the new one, occasionally stop the wireless network for no apparent reason (10:00 pm seems to be the most common time when it happens). Both used a security protocol, but they were different from each other. Unplugging and replugging fixes it. The modem from Comcast has remained the same however. How 2 fix?

So you have the security protocol configured properly, both routers lose wireless net.

Is the Comcast modem old?

You unplug and replug the routers only? Or the modem as well? Do you do that until they are synced right?

This is a tricky one since it's just your wireless going out. If the ethernet based internet works fine when the wireless goes out, that rules out the Comast modem as a problem. Means the routers aren't working. I'm guessing both are up to the latest firmware or custom firmware, right?

Routers crapping out for no apparent reason is quite common.


If your connection keeps timing out around the same time, it sounds like your lease time expires around that time.

Run cmd.exe and type in IPCONFIG /ALL and check your lease time.

kinda glad you said it craps out around the same time...... otherwise this would also be the target of bad DNS, internal memory/buffer clearing issues, etc. And that stuff is a pain.

No idea what happens to the ethernet. I'm usually doing something else around the house, and in fact it's only happened once since I got my new computer (the only thing that uses ethernet). However, when I check my routers, it's only the wireless light that's out.

I only unplug and replug the router. Modem doesn't get treatment.

Also, I'm not entirely sure if that's the only time it craps out.
