Sorry if this question seems nubbish, but wtp is that blue star-looking object at 1:04 to 1:51? It doesn't seem like it does damage but it keeps zapping Bigfoot. *confused*

So, does anyone know how much better the quest experience is? I was thinking they would update that, seeing as that's one of the things maplers wanted most of big bang patch. (From a survey on Gms if someone was gonna ask)

@Up, new skill for shadower called dark flare.
It reflects some damage to the opponent when hit. (A.K.A the lightning.)

Dark Flare. It's like Power Guard, it damages the enemy when it damages you.

There are screenshots earlier in the thread, showing the PQ NPC and the entrance still being there. However, there are no screenshots of anyone actually doing the PQ yet, probably because everyone's trying to job advance first, and the lag isn't helping...

It's unfortunate the family system doesn't seem to work, because we could use the level up npc to get plenty of rep and teleport our juniors to Ludi and just continue the chain to teleport new people to ludi so they can quickly get the 3 dark crystal ores from Tigun's quest.

...Or it'd be nice if a gm came on and just started dumping dark crystals everywhere, along with the scroll of secrets ( or whatever it's name is, can't remember precisely),

If anyone has any extras, I would encourage finding others to donate them to, unless you're making another char.

Once again, I'm going to ask about maker; specifically in regards to monster etc item drops being the proper levels for their monster crystals. That seems like something that could be overlooked easily. I'd also like that test to see hand's effectiveness on it being done, but I suppose that would require a greater supply pool with which to gather data, so I'll let that one be skipped.

Adding onto this, how's the changes with families going? <--EDIT: Slow post ninja, I see this can't be tested.

Are the NLC quests that get you through the crimsonwood forests easier still there? If so, do the reward quest items work as intended on the shortcut portals? Are there still those holes in the bottom of one of the maps in the crimsonwood forest that causes you to reload the map? Has the dojo's issue with saving solo progress been fixed? Do all warp NPCs warp to the proper and respective destinations? How was the Magaita quest chain altered, if at all? Where does Jr. Balrog spawn now (in the maps thread, it appeared as if his map was replaced with another of the same name and there was no mention of him spawning inside it)? Is the "game room" still there in Henesys? How about the Halls for level 200s?

I realize everyone is excited and wants to check out the changes to jobs and skills and all that, but this is a testing phase, and it makes no sense to have everyone working on the same subjects when there is far more to see. Consider everything that is possible within the game, and place doubt on it working instead of assumptions of the basics never being broken. That is how you find bugs.

Is ellinia->leafre really 5 freaking maps? Should have placed this at the bottom of the 6 way path. Hopefully there is a shortcut somewhere


To guy down there: Talk to Cody for free level ups and free reverse/timeless set items. You can get those as often as you want (meso exploit lul)

Because Cody gives them away to you if you select the second option. It's also a somewhat backwards way to get mesos since you can continually get them and then npc the reverse gear.

Yes, things i would like to know is how significant the exp bonus from quests are now, seeing as the vote on the Gms website said that people wanted better quest exp. New quest lines or something.( hearing that there are more quest for adventurers, or maybe it's more quest lines for characters above the level 40, and i mean story, not just some random quests) I guess i just want to see how worth quests will be now, other then items. I'm much more motivated to level when i don't have to endlessly grind or PQ only(seeing as i did that after level 35, since the mushroom king quests were the only good ones o.o), i guess i just like variety. Hoping that all the quests got nerfed a bit, to make them easier, and with better exp reward, to make it almost worth it to do every quest you see, something i kind of want to accomplish, or try. =P
