[JMS Tespia] Level 97 Knight at Homunculus
#1

This video was mainly for lag-test purposes, since I haven't recorded a video on this computer before.

Anyway, you may see some misses in this video. That's because I'm one level below the monsters I'm killing, which means I have an automatic 5% chance to miss. All classes have this problem -- no exceptions.

Charge Blow no longer kills any charge when used, so it's no longer a useless skill. Whoo hoo! It's amazingly only 20% damage lower than Power Strike with an unbelievably long range. If it weren't for it using up so much MP every single time it's casted, it would be the perfect third job attacking skill.

Of course, this is JapanMS Tespia, so all of my equipment are unscrolled, most are extremely low level equipment and my damage is just overall way below average. So please, don't pay too much mind toward the damage. A Knight's damage in an official server will be much, much, much higher than this.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this! I hope to get more videos soon! Hopefully, there will be a video or two of fourth job, if I can manage to get to 4th job during this testing phase.

You do know Knights can also be White and Dark?
There was I seeing thread title hoping for a drk video.. -misleading-

as a long time player, a dragon knight or dark knight would naturally be called a DK or DrK so a knight makes sense to call the job he is playing now.

You know Wk's used to just be referred to as Knights, right? I knew exactly what the title meant without 'white' added to it.

@ Video; Using clean equips and hitting 10k+ at fire neutral.. Do want. I wonder how much my Paladin's damage will be effected with BB.

This is so nostalgic. The first guide I grabbed off Gamefaqs called them Knights.

No, actually I don't...
Why should I know?
Maybe YOU knew what this video was about before you entered but I can tell you for sure that most people WOULDN'T.
Wk's are referred to as Wk's..
And it's the same thing as making a video entitled "Lv 1xx Mage @ some monster".. or "Lvl 1xx Archer @ some monster"
I see that as long time players you should know that but afaik White knights are called Wk's, dark knights are called dk's that's the general naming I've been used to that can't lead to something else..

Why can't some people just admit their mistake instead of making themselves look even dumber...

ShiKage is using the Japanese names for classes and skills.

Class name: "naito" -> Knight

They are also called Knights in Korea. "White Knight" is one of Nexon America's changed names.
#8
I thought we were all clear on this subject with all the known cases, Captain, Viper, even Fighter/Swordsman. ShiKage used to get bitched at for spelling Toukyou, I find it hard to believe he ever spells anything wrong.
#9
OMG at the range of charge blow Glitter

Why can't some people understand that not everyone watching this will know what the maker meant by Knight? I'm no japanese/korean and there's no reason for me to know that in Korea and Japan they call it differently?
Captain/Viper are much wieldly known to most people than "Knights", try and youtube knights and lets see what you get? now youtube captain/viper? yeah.. exactly.
Who are you to even judge wether I sound dumb or not, like why the fk do you think you can give this opinion about me?
If I sounded dumber or not, you sure did sound more jerk.

So yeah, you get first result for a White Knight, then lots of Cygnus Knight and at the end you have Dark Knight.

In comparison to Viper and Captain, so yes, 1 video from 2006 from JMS which I wonder if anyone really had seen.. then a shitload of koc and dk's in between.
#13
I'm sorry I didn't use GMS terminology just for you.

You're just digging a hole for yourself. Everyone else that has posted in this thread knew what a Knight was. You attempted to correct someone, and you were wrong, and instead of accepting that, you tried to claim that everyone else shares your ignorance. Sorry for having opinions on the internet.

The job name is White Knight.. it's you guys making a big deal out of it, adding the White or Dark or just use a much easier acronym such as dk or wk is for it to be recognized and no I'm not the only one that doesn't know what Knight is.. believe it or not but some people don't even know what wk's are, then I explain it's the
3rd job paladin and then they get it..
And I don't take your apology since I smell too much sarcasm sinked inside it.

Not true.
I corrected him cause "Knight" is not a job in Maplestory and since there are 2 options for the continuing of it that aren't mentioned therefore misleading title.
I never claimed everyone else shares this non-ignorance-but-simply-ain't-japanese-or-korean-or-in-some-other-wierd-reason-he-knows-it-cause-I-never-heard-of-it-playing-since-beta but I said a LOT of the people seeing thread title wouldn't know which job the maker referred to.
You just simply can't admit you guys are wrong and nobody other than several people here know that nickname you had made for it.
#16
Er... Again, I'm not just going to use terminology Global MapleStory uses just so those players can understand. I'll use whatever I like. Don't like it? Don't watch it. It's as simple as that. Stop making such a big deal out of nothing.

"Knight" is a job in MapleStory. Just because it's not the same name in Global MapleStory, it doesn't mean it's not a name at all. English isn't the only language in the world and Global MapleStory isn't the first version of Maple to even exist, much less have names for the third job advancements.

Wasn't aware dark knights used blunt weapons

My "Irony Meter" exploded from this post.

Let me break this down...

Quote:The job name is White Knight..

No, the job name is "Knight", but was later adapted to "White Knight" in GMS terminology. Last I checked, GMS isn't the origination of MapleStory.

Quote:it's you guys making a big deal out of it, adding the White or Dark or just use a much easier acronym such as dk or wk is for it to be recognized

Actually, YOU'RE the one making the big deal out of it. Not a single person had any problem with the topic title until YOU came in and started up a storm.

Quote:and no I'm not the only one that doesn't know what Knight is.. believe it or not but some people don't even know what wk's are, then I explain it's the
3rd job paladin and then they get it..

Wait, you're not the only one who doesn't know? From the looks of it in this topic, it seems you ARE the only one who doesn't know. Everyone else seems to have known that "Knight" was "WK" right off the bat.

Quote:And I don't take your apology since I smell too much sarcasm sinked inside it

I smell too much ignorance sinked inside your posts.

Quote:Not true.

Again, "Knight" is the original job name.
Again, GMS isn't the origination of MapleStory

Quote:I never claimed everyone else shares this non-ignorance-but-simply-ain't-japanese-or-korean-or-in-some-other-wierd-reason-he-knows-it-cause-I-never-heard-of-it-playing-since-beta but I said a LOT of the people seeing thread title wouldn't know which job the maker referred to.

They're very close-minded if they think that. Every single relation to "Dark Knight" is either spelled out as "DrK" or "Dark Knight", I have yet to see ANY one refer to "Dark Knight" as "Knight", other than what you're claiming it to be the case, which it isn't.

Quote:You just simply can't admit you guys are wrong and nobody other than several people here know that nickname you had made for it.

You just simple can't admit you're wrong either. You're too ignorant / ego-inflated to admit to it either, so who's really the ignorant person in this topic?

I'm confused as to why you're even trying to argue this in the first place other than to prove a point, which has no relevance at hand here.

After Big Bang and messing around with my characters, I'm going make a Knight! It'll be the most defensive man character in the entire Maple world!

Thanks for the Knight video, man!

The job name may have been Knight a long time ago in GMS, "adapted" is not the right word for it, it changed into White Knights.
So name is NO LONGER Knight, wherever you look at it from..
Dark Link Wrote:Actually, YOU'RE the one making the big deal out of it. Not a single person had any problem with the topic title until YOU came in and started up a storm.
Actually, YOU and the likes of you are the ones making the big deal out of it since I merely stated this was a misleading title and that what one may think about the video containing may either be a White, a Dragon or a Dark -knight, idc if some people may already know what it means, it's still misleading to people that don't.
I did not make a storm, as you may see of my first post, but those who answered it rudely and with so over-the-top thinking that everybody know what Knight means made a storm.

Dark Link Wrote:Wait, you're not the only one who doesn't know? From the looks of it in this topic

it seems you ARE the only one who doesn't know. Everyone else seems to have known that "Knight" was "WK" right off the bat.
I responded to that comment earlier, read.
Dark Link Wrote:I smell too much ignorance sinked inside your posts.
Weird, I actually smelled the ignorance from your posts.
Dark Link Wrote:Again, "Knight" is the original job name.

May have been the original, but is no longer the name and while it WAS the name, wasn't for a while.
I never said anything about Maplestory originating from GMS.. There may have been different names for it in other versions but if I wanted to use their names I wouldn't go translate it word to word cause that would not mean the same thing for people who use English in GMS and know different names that actually mean something in English.
Dark Link Wrote:They're very close-minded if they think that. Every single relation to "Dark Knight" is either spelled out as "DrK" or "Dark Knight", I have yet to see ANY one refer to "Dark Knight" as "Knight", other than what you're claiming it to be the case, which it isn't.
Cause that's exactly my point, you can't use "Knight" as a job name since in English it does not represent the job name, you would have to add the continuing in order to determine which kind of knight it is.
Dark Link Wrote:You just simple can't admit you're wrong either. You're too ignorant / ego-inflated to admit to it either, so who's really the ignorant person in this topic?
I don't have to admit I'm wrong cause I ACTUALLY am not wrong, Knight is not a job name, go on basil and make a thread if you want, tell them you wanna make a Knight and I wanna see their responses..
I'm confused as to why you're even trying to argue this in the first place other than to prove a point, which has no relevance at hand here.
I'm proving the point Knight is not a job name and the title is misleading as it does not specify which kind of job it is.

@Loose Good luck on your KoC Smile
